"The Betrayal Route" Flowey and even Chara are horrified at your sadism. They both team up like when they were children to try and stop you before you shatter the barrier - after betraying Asgore - and leave to the surface. Chara's attacks involve knives, and Flowey's various types of plantlife, as well as weaker versions of Photoshop Flowey's attacks. They attack one after the other, giving each other time to rest so that they can stall you. Then they begin to lose hope and barrage you both st once. They are left tired and weak if you survive, allowing you to kill them and finish the run. At the end, Toriel's ghost appears for the sole purpose of saying "I'm so dissapointed in you" And every major character you've killed shows as well. They shake their heads in disappointment, then fade away. Then the screen fades to black, and the game ends. If you've done Pacifist directly before this, Flowey makes remarks about how you could have spent time together with him as Asriel. If you've done Genocide directly before this, Chara makes remarks like "even I didn't think it would get this bad!"

ok let me explain chara isn't the villain you are chara didn't force you to go down that route you did that on your own. Chara! didn't manipulate asriel chara just wanted to free monster kind! by getting human souls. But considering the story that was told the humans seeing chara's body is what got them both killed, sure chara wasn't the best as asriel stated but they loved eachother like siblings chara makes sure you dont forget what you did even if you take their deal and start over! if you go down a pacifist route after a genocide route. and head home (without going with toriel) that photo will instead show chara and the monsters crossed out showing that YOU! will not forget what you did and chara will spend every moment reminding you of it chara gives you one last chance to literally stop to not kill flowey/asriel turn off your game and not finish this route you have the choice to not press the button to end that dialogue!

I'm really glad this method was taken into account. The dialogue could have just been recycled from when you'd begin with fighting in the first place, but scenes were made especially for if you went the extra mile to make them lower their guard so you could kill them more easily. Undertale is a masterpiece.

When Toriel is talking about THEM, she's not talking about Chara. It's a common misconception, but no. She's talking about the monsters outside. She mentions how she was protecting THEM instead of you by keeping you there, she means how she was protecting the monsters outside FROM you. It's a bit confusing, but yeah. She's not talking about Chara. In the "betrayal victory" she's still talking about the monsters outside, because yeah, she hates them even though the ruins monsters also attack you.

The Sans one got me. I'm normally someone who likes to play through games and see all of the different decisions, playstyles, etc. that there are. But with Undertale, I had to force myself to play through the Genocide route because of how much I hated killing all of these characters. Finally, I got to Sans, and got to what you think is the end of the hardest fight in the game. And he says a whole speech about how, even though you didn't like it, you just HAD to see what happened, and that's exactly how I felt. I forced myself through this to see, and when he said that I realized how much it sucked. So then he says that, if I really like him, then I'll let him go. And, after forcing myself to go through this, for hours of doing something I hate, I gave up. I couldn't kill him, even after making myself go through the whole game, I gave in, because I DID like Sans, and his whole fight was just describing exactly how I felt through the whole run. So after all my work, I was completely prepared to give it all up and miss out on the Genocide ending, just because he asked me to. Then he says exactly what I felt again. "I know how hard it is to give up on something you've worked so hard for." But I thought it was worth it, just for this NPC in a game. And then he kills you, and yet again speaks the pure truth. "If you're really my friend, you won't come back."

@@Mightic you are frisk, it says at the end of true pacifist, and chara has no appearance other than in the games little story pn the title screen and at the end of genocide.

Not to mention, Chara quite literally suggests doing a Pacifist run on a 2nd Genocide attempt, after stating the player to seemingly have a, "Perverted sentimentality" stating she doesn't understand those feelings. Also, I feel like the first-person cutscenes (Basically no dates or battles) being with post-pacifist Flowey (when booting up the game again) or Chara (after Genocide) aren't from Frisk's point of view but rather these two characters speaking directly to the player (Flowey's is more direct than Chara tbf)
