I’ve kinda like wanted to make this series but I’m not gonna explain to much of it. Also none of these buttons have any actual owners yet. Besides discard button. The discard button: Can be placed like a turret on a land and will slowly drain that domain of its code until it becomes a jangled husk of poorly written code, alike most of the discarded characters. Can be latched onto characters themselves, code is stored somewhere. Icon is that of a trashcan. And the button is a dark green. UNDO (left shattered discard button) Rewinds everything back 10 seconds in the entirety of reality itself There is no text on the button. Just an undo arrow. REDO (right shattered discard button) Causes an action to happen again. (Allowing you to attack more than once in one attack session) There is no test on the button. Just a redo arrow. MANUAL BLAST (reforged discard button) The earliest form of the discard button before it became corrupted. Instead of taking code, it will within instance, jumble and mangle and mix and mash EVERYTHING together, resulting in a unfixable mess. This button has no limit to how far it can deform and rip apart dimensions. You cannot corrupt and posses people with manual blast. It has no icon, it has the text “MANUAL BLAST” on it. Also this is a reference to an actual exploit you can do on games.

I mean...Asriel Dreemur had Infinite Attack and Infinite Defense, could rewrite reality on a whim, and could just reset everything if he wanted to. The ONLY thing in his way was an EXTREMELY determined Frisk. And even then, Asriel was gonna eventually take them out for good by erasing Frisk's memories and starting everything to zero. "Save" can ONLY be done if a human with a pure soul has an overload of its trait (Mainly Determination) that is poured into wanting to help them. It defies death entirely. (Remember that beam Asriel did to Frisk that took out the other option buttons.) And it can defeat an enemy by pure kindness.

It's not that determination can somehow nullify whole infinity of ATK. (and still get damaged? at this point it would be better to just be invulnerable than still get damaged, and yet Frisk still somehow gets damaged.). I think it's easier to say that it was Asriel's decision to stop fighting, rather than Frisk actually saving his soul, because Asriel is stated to be "absolute" in that form, which would lead to a paradox; Frisk affecting Asriel in the slightest wouldn't be possible. Toby put that bold statement of "absolute" into his title, which matters. It would be a whole different story if he was just "God of Hyperdeath".

The color red is best represented with the ball game text of "Try as you might, you continue to be yourself". DETERMINATION itself is a power source that fuels life. A physical representation of the will to keep living, the resolve to change fate. A power that allows the person to mold reality to their will. Asriel wasn't going to win that fight no matter what he did; Frisk and Hyperdeath Asriel are equal in DT, equal in power. Asriel was trying to kill Frisk so he could take control over the world and RESET. Which means he can't already RESET, even with his godlike abilities. Frisk ALSO can't reach the SAVE file, which leaves one possibility. They are equally matched. The SAVE button is a representation of their will, a technique that allows them to directly reach into the amalgamation of beings that is Hyperdeath Asriel, to pick apart individual minds, "Lost Souls", and awaken them. In this fight, Frisk learned two techniques. First, the ability to regenerate rapidly, capable of bringing them back even after their SOUL splits apart, through DETERMINATION. Second, the ability to raise their stats through DETERMINATION, specifically defense. Third, the ability to isolate and reawaken individual Lost Souls by evoking memories and emotions.

You are right that it was Asriel's decision to stop fighting. However, it would not have changed a thing even if he did not stop fighting. Frisk would still keep moving forward until Asriel inevitably stopped.

it's a very cool video, it takes me back to the old times of the fandom! tho, here's some things i would change: 1: add the Continue/Load (player/Frisk/Kris) and Restore (Chara) buttons 2: mention Kris as a "SKILL" user. after all, their act button can do stuff like the X-Slash. (and also, change Kris with Noelle in the Magic button user list, since Kris doesn't really use it) 3: put the Prescan button at the same level or lower than act. after all, the Check act can already do all that Prescan does 4: all buttons that allow someone to alter reallity or code should be either S or A, but the "Rewrite" button should be in the highest tier. after all, an author can do anything with it's creation, and no one in the story can stop them no matter what. they can't even be killed by their own charaters, unlike XGaster. thank you for reading, i really liked the video, and i hope you could make a tier list template or something so everyone else can do their tier lists

I believe reset being in b tier is crazy like imagine making poor choices and then just restarting it all this can avoid/ let you have more preparation for things and a lot more (reset type things also can sort of be grouped here) (I also think a lot of bs should be higher)

Well, if you think about it in more videogame-y terms, you technically cannot do stuff like avoiding sans's battle with reset, but it helps with preparing for the battle

The SAVE button is actually more than merely offering compassion. Frisk is quite literally reaching into their SOULs and evoking their memories and emotions to reawaken them. They're isolating them from the greater whole, bringing them back as individuals. That's not a feat to be taken lightly, especially when they're reaching INTO A GOD to awaken the SOULs inside them. A technique that requires absolute precision as well as timing to use in the middle of a fight. The epitome of Frisk's growth in the True Pacifist Route. The buttons won't actually mean anything if the user doesn't have the raw power required to use them. They're like instinctive techniques that can be used without training, but that doesn't mean they're just going to be able to surpass any power gap and defy all the rules. Well, some of them, like the SAVE button, are acquired. But my point stands. You still need enough DETERMINATION to RESET. A FIGHT won't deal much damage without any power fueling it.

Lol- Nah fr, y'all got that. Why is steal and ban on E? Ban can literally ban someone or sonethings existence or even a button. (Maybe not permanently but you can do it multiple times.) Then steal, can permanently take a button from someone, there's multiple amounts of the usage to the buttons so these can be the strongest buttons in their multiverse.

I think the tier list considers how useful these buttons are in an actual battle: you cant exactly win a battle by stealing from them or by pressing mercy
