To everyone stating "ghosts can't die they're incorporeal" the grey soul allows you to hit Napstablook. Also, ghosts aren't vulnerable to magic attacks (in the mad dummy fight the magic attacks don't kill him) the only other way to kill them is when they become corporeal to their body (genocide glad dummy).

Truth be told, Napstablook is one of the only few characters who can actually stop The Human from committing Genocide, he's a ghost, physical attacks will never do physical damage, even with the Real Knife, maybe emotional damage considering how sensitive he is, but after killing Mettaton... yeah, we might have a real problem. So yeah, if Napstablook decided to stop us, there's nothing we could do, there's nothing The Human could do, and there's nothing Chara could do if they decided to give us some backup, which wouldn't make much of a difference considering they're just as powerful as we are and vice versa, not to mention they wouldn't even try to help us, Blooky would be exactly the guy Chara was hoping we would come across, someone with specific qualities that makes them immune to our influence and power. Now in this situation, Flowey would be very helpful as he's the one with magic, which is the only thing that can harm a ghost physically and eventually kill him. P.S. If anybody wonders who are the other characters that would stop us from committing Genocide if we encountered them besides Blooky, they are: Mad Dummy, unfortunately he turned into Glad Dummy, what a dummy Mettaton, not EX, not NEO, just Mettaton, his defense is so high that even at LV. 20 with the Real Knife we would only do 1 damage per hit, and I'm being nice on that one The Amalgamates, no matter how strong we are and how much capacity to harm others we have, we'll never harm and much less kill these poor creatures, their DETERMINATION won't allow them to die Photoshop Flowey and Asriel Dreemurr, practically anyone who has the power of two SOULs or higher can stop us, Asriel being the only one who can absorb an unlimited amount of SOULs without being affected by them, as he's SOULless just like Chara, difference being he has his own DETERMINATION Chara, all they would have to do is kill us once and take over the timeline, although they wouldn't be able to use True RESET or ERASE as those options are only unlocked at the end of both Routes, Pacifist and Genocide, but they would be able to SAVE, LOAD, and RESET and keep us out of the timeline as long as they want until they RESET Gaster, this mysterious character has shown impressive feats from the game's standards, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, as I believe he decides to stay out of the timeline not because he can't come back, but because it wouldn't make a difference, as he has been forgotten, he doesn't belong there anymore

chara But more difficult, the timing was off on this. I'd imagine you fighting Napstablook by him doing the basic attacks, and since you can't kill a ghost, you have to try and make him fuse with something and then kill him. I'd also like his attacks to be super difficult like it was in the ruins, the tears running fast, and then his hat comes in. There would also be a spare route, or a genocide route. That's kinda what I imagine though

Galaxy_Star_Maker yeah, sans just uses tricks. For example, now that you have so much LV you would just cut down any hp a monster had. So dodging makes it that you don’t need that much hp. Also, since he has a weak attack damage of 1, he employs karmic retribution to actually do some damage to that 92 health. He somehow makes it so that you have no invincibility frames either.

Boss Monsters refer to the goat-like monsters (Asgore, Toriel and Asriel), that's why you CANNOT see the soul of any other boss besides Asgore and Toriel (Asriel doesn't really dies in the screen) shatter when dying, because in the lore they are not Boss Monsters. It is currently unknown if there are any other Boss Monster types beside the goat-like ones.
