I had this thought recently. In neutral you and Flowey are enemies and all you want is the other one to be dead. You're each the driving forces of the timelines. In pacifist Flowey becomes Asriel and you become Frisk (Your "True forms" if you will) In genocide you kill Flowey but get killed by Chara right afterwards (so you both die). You and Flowey will always experience the same fate. You're equals!

I like that flowey , after fighting with him (when finale is playing) when you first start hitting him, he makes that noise, the OOH like mocking you. But when his health is halfway, he makes that GRRRCH noise. Like he then realizes that you aren’t kidding, you’re going to keep going until he dies. Then he starts to panic, and the fight isn’t a one way fight anymore. Flowey is scared of you.

That intro still gives me chills. It's just laid out so well. When the battle begins, your soul appears on the screen, this is something you have gotten used to. Then, the 6 human souls appear at the top half of the screen. It makes you feel outnumbered, outmatched, as though you're not only fighting another player, but 6. The other souls fade away, and you don't know what to expect. The music kicks in, the background glows red, and the silhouette of Flowey's horrific new form slides into view. He reveals himself, laughs a terrible, nightmarish laugh, and immediately begins attacking with intent to *destroy.* Other things I enjoy about this fight: -How the souls literally revolt against Flowey because he isn't a monster, but a husk who doesn't even have a soul of his own. -When his attacks slow down at the beginning of phase 2, as though he's in shock about you taking out his defense. -The fact he says "I can't understand" when you spare him. The wording always weirded me out, but it makes more sense to me now. It's not that he doesn't understand, it's that he *literally can't.* He isn't upset that you aren't killing him, he's upset that you're giving him a second chance despite him being incapable of loving or expressing mercy.

I just noticed something. At the beginning, when you deal pitiful damage to him, the tv shows the face with twisted smile, and says “Oh!”, as if he was mocking you. But when the souls band together and you actually deal decent damage to him, the tv shows the face in pain, and says “Urgh!” as if Flowey is coming to the realization that he’s actually losing.
