Wow. A complete 180 from the original "Battle Against A True Hero". The first a triumphant shout and then... This. This is, to me, Undyne saying to herself: "This is it. I ultimately let them down, but they know I did everything in my power to win. I can go in peace, knowing that Alphys will evacuate the others, doing what I probably should've been doing, but couldn't."

When Undyne became Undyne the Undying, she already knew she wasn't going to make it. Determination does not play nice with monsters. She did it anyway, accepting and sealing her inevitable fate for that sliver of hope that the monsters- no... The entire world- might make it out. She fully knew she was going to die and she did not hesitate to do everything in her power to stop you.

@@omfgpainkillers I feel like even at the beginning of the battle she knew she was going to die, at least in this set of events, as alphys says in the last stand song, she already knew she would never be able to win. And to be fair she would have been right if she couldn’t become the undying. Base undyne was ONE shotted. She fully expected to be killed, but when she felt that fire ignite, a sliver of hope that she could stop you ignited. She gave it everything she had, maybe hoping you would give up. And for good reason because in the battle she is STRONGER than the player stats wise. Without Resets she had every advantage. She wanted to take you down with her, even if she knew she would die, she still kept fighting. She’s a true hero.

Feels... feels everywhere... My heart has been shattered yet again by an Undertale Genocide song. The lyrics, the slowed down music, the emotion... AAAH IT WAS ALL SO BEAUTIFULLY TRAGIC T^T Honestly, there are so many feels swirling inside me right now, I don't even know how to handle them. My heart bleeds at our benevolent fish hero's falling. However, although Undyne's death was saddening beyond description, and tears totally ran down my face when I saw her disappear at the end, I personally believe that one of the most tragic things was this: *Monster Kid was watching the battle* This poor, innocent child witnessed his hero get murdered right in front of him... I don't know why I never realized that until I saw the art in this video... guess I was just being ignorant to it until today. But, speaking of the art... OMQ DONNA DID AN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE JOB WITH IT HOLY HECK I LOVE IT SO MUCH

I had the feeling there would be another song for undyn Because it was supposed to be a 17th song between "battle a gainst a true hero" and "alphys" and undyn the undying didn't Disappeared at the end of the 16th song. undyn was really a true hero and she died like a true hero you really showed it that was beautiful.

In Neutral,the Human defends themselves and Undyne doubts their Evil,thus they're Good as well. Genocide helps the Human put Undyne in her place for trying to act like a Hero and this proves that she's blinded by her own Ego rather than seeing the truth.
