no hacking required although that's probably the easier way of going about it (i don't have any experience with Cheat Engine but i hear that that's what folks use). read on for the non-hacking method... this was all done by repeatedly using the Dog Residue item in order to generate Dog Salad and more Dog Residue, then selling everything but one Dog Residue, which gets reused again. it's a very tedious procedure. additionally, by design, the price of armor goes down the more that you die. meaning if you're struggling quite a bit, you may not need to raise so much money to purchase the armor. hope this helped!

oh, P.S.: a four-year-old comment advises to purchase and resell the Cloudy Glasses item, as it is more efficient and less tedious than the Dog Residue method!

***** I havent seen a typed lp in forever. Vocal walkthroughs are considered better and I agree that typing it out is a huge annoying hassle, but as long as the text doesn't take up the majority of the screen and distracts from the story and gameplay it usually works.

The story is really hackneyed and half-assed, depending way too much on self aware meta references to a point that it feels like a vehicle for the developer to backseat game on you and wave their morals in your face. Also, with all the other games this one imitates, it gives off a very "original character, do not steal" vibe.

According to the Wikia, to get Temmie armor at 6000G, you need to have died 4 times. the lowest it can go is 750G which takes at least 25 deaths.
