i find it funny how sans is complaining about how nightmare is a "selfish king of negativity who doesn't help his subordinates" yet negativity literally fuels nightmare

Same I always see people making Nightmare thoughtful and kind and hugging his subordinates and shit like that. Don't get me wrong, I find it cute, but like Nightmare would never do that. First of all, he can't have physical contact with anyone lol, his goop makes them feel negative emotions and, in Dream's case, it kills him. And if he makes his subordinates feel good then he only weakens himself; that's why he chose miserable versions of Classic, because negativity is all they feel

I think the thing that saddens me the most about Killer’s lore (among many other things) is that Sans never agreed to fusing with the Determination soul. It was a (coerced) deal to partnered Genocide, and Sans was confused, scared, and in pain when his soul started fusing with the Determination soul. And that’s where the Something New comics ended, after the Killer we’re familiar with-stage 2-was created. Given that souls are what makes a person themself and are usually considered sacred things, it’s such a violating thing to do, especially compared to all the other things the Human was doing to him before the Deal ever happened. And the way Nightmare exploits his soul for his own gain is gross too, abusing & using both stage 1 & 2 for his own benefits. Given what he was “created” from, it’s a wonder Killer was ever able to bring himself to trust another person again, such as Color.

Little known fact about Dusttale, it has a pacifist route. That Chara actually is something akin to a malevolent spirit/demon, but it's possible to do a "pacifist" run where Dust and Ftisk survive to the end and somewhat reconcile.

Something I kind of wish people did more was be realistic towards villains. If a villain is sympathetic, its no excuse for what they've done and they'll continue to still be a villain in most cases. I love villains that can be relatable or even realistic, but I love it even more when characters can be sympathetic towards them, but understand they have to be resolved in the circumstances and what they have to do. That's not to say, of course, that a character shouldn't be purely sympathetic towards a villain. Its important to have characters that think differently from one another. I'm actually a personal fan of sans being biased towards Murder and Killer, but more on the negative side because of them murdering everyone and papyrus. Ive even seen takes where Horror outright hates Killer and Murder because of what they did to Papyrus specifically. Well, sorry for rambling on, of course. Just "thinking out loud", as one could say.

I agree with you so much! Like, I love when people can kind of understand a villain and show sympathy to them but also know that isn't an excuse and it is most likely that they won't change. I love the one about Sans being biased against those two same with horror for the fact they turned on their brother no matter the reasoning. I am a fan of them not agreeing or getting along cause sans always puts Paps above himself and those two dusted Paps even if it wasn't maliciously, they still did it. Most senses would be quite upset at them or any AU who did similar or so I think anyway. I just agree with you a lot!

The one who destroyed "the whole civilization" is Chara, who destroys the world in the end. We have only killed 100 monsters, and we can also kill 100 monsters on a neutral path. It doesn't destroy civilizations. More were killed during the war. And Chara is a willing partner of the killer (Frisk/the Player) at least. Chara is not "harmless." Also, I can't imagine how Frisk doesn't deserve a second chance if Frisk repents when many people gave Asriel (Flowey) a second chance, who obviously did the same things as Frisk and even worse.

Just a heads up The reason why dust is still alive is because the person controlling frisk (whether it be frisk or some other entity) resets and dust remembers phantom papyrus is still around even when papyrus is alive and phantom papyrus is a confirmed hallucination of sorts dust sans I’m pretty sure knows deep down but phantom paps definitely knows he’s not real and yeah that’s how dust is still alive I wasn’t sure whether you knew this or not
