Undertale Yellow Reference?

After playing Undertale Yellow, Justice leading the chorus is cast in a new light. Especially with how Clover and Flowey interact a lot during UTY, it makes this confrontation MUCH more personal. It also really matches Clover's internal sense of justice. Pacifist and neutral spoilers below. I think this also fits with Clover's character development if you look at them through an order of Neutral, then Pacifist endings. They jumped down to bring justice to the fallen humans. Over time though, Clover becomes more sympathetic to monsters. The neutral route concludes with their true enemy being revealed- Flowey, who can reset their runs over and over. Flowey, who is forcing them out of the ruins and onto a new path because he is bored. I think it's rather fitting for Clover to come back here to help Frisk. Because in a way, that's the best sort of justice they can deliver. To save another human from the fate that had once been their own- that's something that they don't hesitate to do in the Pacifist ending. And leading the chorus here seems like a retroactively rather fitting way to deliver their justice.

Something I'm not sure anyone else noticed... the yellow soul, the soul of Justice, got his own part at the end. The Justice, the repentance for Flowey's misdeeds, gets his say. He's the most recent death, the freshest soul, the newest addition to this collection of premature deaths. He's angry, still, and he deserves his piece, his *peace*. Somehow, it makes sense, based on the traits of the souls when they sang in 2 parts. Bravery, Justice and Perseverance wanted immediate violent revenge on Flowey, while Kindness, Patience and Integrity wanted Flowey to repent at first, before realising that was futile and helped Frisk defeat Flowey.

I wonder how much it would cost to pay for everything necessary for faithful stage adaptation of this battle. Imagine all of the people who would have to play to different bullets and projectiles running across the stage. A screen and projector to project Flowey's face. The materials to make Omega Flowey's body. Stage hands to control the swinging arms and that second mouth. The streamers and confetti blasted from fans to imitate fire. And imagine how much stamina the actor playing Frisk would need to move around, avoiding attacks, swinging their prop knife, even throwing themselves this way and that and getting bumped around and to the ground by the actors playing the attacks. Imagine the choreography! You'd probably need multiple actors playing Frisk so that they won't get too exhausted. Plus the souls, I can imagine actors on stage fighting with and supporting Frisk. WOW! That one battle alone would probably cost as much as the entirety of Hamilton. Just imagine how much a whole production of Undertale would cost!

You know, this is the arguably the scariest fight for me because... I don’t really know how to explain it. In terms of help, Frisk doesn’t have any friends in this fight. They don’t know the souls, not like they know their friends. These are seven humans (eight counting Chara narrating for Frisk) who are strangers to each other and only united for one common purpose: to stop Flowey and regain control of the timeline. And after it all, they just disappear. The worst part is that it isn’t even Frisk who stops Omega Flowey, but the souls rebelling against him. This is the fight where it’s truly black and white, humans vs monsters. Even more, this fight comes out of nowhere. Imagine if Frisk never got out of it, the last person they’d have talked to before Asgore was Sans in judgement hall. It would’ve been painfully anticlimactic, if you know what I mean, never really getting to say goodbye to anyone and having control suddenly stripped from you. Even in Asriel’s fight, Frisk was determined enough that their HP went into the millionths and never to zero, but here it’s really like they’re helpless- even more helpless than when faced with Chara.

I think Flowey has the best voice acting in this project (and Papyrus, for a similar reason.) It seems like a voice that's so extra and crazy would be hard to do well, especially when singing, and they _kill_ it. Speaking and singing. On the note of Papyrus, I love that no matter how differently people portray all the characters and their voices, he's pretty consistent. Everyone agrees on what he sounds like (and tbh all of them sounds the same in a weird way; still love it)
