"Despite everything, it's still you." This is the one time I've ever cried from a video game, because it woke me up to reality. Whether you build muscles or gain weight, become toxic or become compassionate, every time you look in the mirror, you're still looking at the same person you saw before it. When you become elderly, you are looking at the same 5 year old you saw all those years ago. And the sentence is not just "It's still you," it's " *Despite everything* , it's still you." Despite everything. Despite everything you've done. Despite everything you've been through. Despite all what's happened, you are still standing there, looking at who you've always been and always will be. You. So to everyone out there, love yourself, for you are the only you.

From such a genius developer, and such an impactful game, in such a saddening area, its only natural that an absolutely genius and moving line is placed in such a simple spot. A mirror, nothing but a wall-mounted sheet of glass, gives you an incredible message, in such an incredible game, from such an incredible team. It's what i love most about Undertale : it's simple beauty. In something that seems so simple, there are amazing secrets, messages, soundtracks, characters, adventures, quests, and everything. Toby truly did create a masterpiece.

I've always found this sad, just because people empathize with it, it depicts how despite all the shit that happened in their lives, they're still themselves. Plus the music really adds to the moment, since I don't care what happens to me or my life, I can't relate to that sentence, but I'm glad people find an empathy spot in a simple game textbox.

I played undertale back in 2016, when i was 18 years old, my first year as adult i have to endure so much pain, i wasnt happy where i was studying, a friend of my family passed away, and this phrase i never forget it, despite everything it still you... Now i have 24 years old, i study in a place that make me happy, i have a beautiful girlfriend, we raise some of the most beautiful cats in the world, i have a wonderfull hobby that make me happy too, a lot of people that remember me told me that i didnt change and i feel its good not loose what makes me

We talk a lot about songs like "MEGALOVANIA" or "HOPES and DREAMS", But quite honestly, the title track of the soundtrack is one of the best songs and probably one of the central tracks of the entire game: How it shows you how so much the monsters of the Underground aren't really monsters, they want to just leave and see the world, how they too have hopes and dreams and how they don't have anything against the Human/Frisk for their journey. And this also goes with _every one else,_ yes that even includes Flowey/Asriel with wanting nothing more than to see The Fallen/Chara once more. How most of the cast, despite everything that they've endured.. _are still themselves._

This Friday (21st June) is my birthday. And this popped out in my recommendation. I think 18-years-old me is the worst version of me. Well, I may have felt different. I saw it as throughout all the hardships, all the frustrations, throughout all the loss, the pain, the suffering. No matter what happens, despite everything, it's still me. I am still me. Whether that may be buried deep under a title wave of pain and sadness, or it is simply a waiting game to see what wonders life has to offer, regardless of it all, dispite everything, it's still me. It's still you.

I think it's both at once all the good things and bad things you've done it's you. You cannot escape those actions and the consequences. However, as long as you can still realize this you can try to redeem yourself and seek mercy.
