I see a lot of false rumors floating around the comment section so let me set stuff clear: It is true that his character is used for NSFW art but the backer himself is not the rude and stubborn person some people like to declare him as. He did not shove his idea onto Toby, he just merely suggested his character along with his joke name "So sorry" and Toby was ok with it. He was also not involved in either So Sorry's pixel art or text. You shouldn't criticize someone who donated to a game we all love. Going by that logic the kickstarter or the greenlight system should be criticized and not the backers. While I can somewhat understand the hate towards this entire dilemma please don’t just senselessly insult him. Make sure to get your facts right by either reading his or Toby’s side of the story.

In my headcanon, they get together for regular sessions of the Underground's version of D&D which is called "Puzzles & Pitfalls." SoSo doesn't mind that Alphys always wants to be the Dungeon Master (or "Puzzle Master"). *Note:* Rocko + Filbert = Alphys. Rocko + Heffer = SoSo. They both also have elements of Ickis and Chuckie Finster.

A while back I did a bit of research and found out the character is even in there because Toby wanted to thank the guy, they came in terms with the slight editing of the character to create a separate timeline for the character so that this one wasn't associated with the fetish at all, hell the guy didn't even want his character in there in the first place; but hey I may be entirely wrong and what I read was just lies and whatnot.

+Outta Broad strokes get the fence painted faster. The reasoning in the OP is *pretty much* the reason everyone goes with to bully Samael and decry his character. "This character does gross things _somewhere_, that makes it gross _here_." Yes, interacting with the character can (and generally does, with the foreknowledge of what it is involved in elsewhere) become really uncomfortable, but at this point, the fetish-character and the Undertale foe are seperate and different characters. They're basically their own AU character (of Toby's interpretation and creation). If my knowledge serves correctly, the only part of the character that belongs to Samael (the artist) is the design. The personality, attack patterns, and so on of the in-game entity were concocted by Toby. Y'know, _kind of like an AU character._ Anyone who can't tell the difference is either an idiot who can't seperate a thing from its own likeness (our stamps have the Queen of England on them, so I should bow to every envelope I come across), or a troll looking to cause grief (everyone should know this character is gross and should kink-shame the artist - their money is welcome but their reward and credit isn't).

Outta I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that the character in question is strictly _out of the way_ and _completely optional_. In order to get to them, you have to go to a hidden room on a certain day at a certain hour. Or, to put it another way, you would need to know exactly where and *when* to be to find this character to complain about a thing they're only tenuously-related to. The character isn't stuffed down everyone's throats (so to speak). It is not a thing you are forced to interact with, or even meet. You could play the game hundreds of times and not encounter it. It's not in the Credits and doesn't have a Spare condition for it - the only incentive to find them is a cryptic sign over a chasm you wouldn't know you could cross. You may not even know it exists other than your buddy telling you about it like they heard it from their Uncle Who Works At Nintendo. You're far more likely to encounter a Gaster Follower at a given time. The character's gross (it's not my thing). This is _not_ that character. Even if it was, you have to work damn hard to meet it. My point is that it takes a very petty (or psychopathic) person to seek out a deliberately-elusive thing for the sole purpose of complaining about it. Their opinions shouldn't be recognised as valid or intelligent, and it's a shame they think they have any basis to attack someone who gave a substantial of money to help make Undertale happen.

Everything from the revelation that spiders routinely throw themselves into their baking process, to Muffet herself threatening the player. I never got why people hate this character. Because he's a fetish character? He's not like that in the game, and even if he was, so what? This is the same fandom that's known for having Undertail and Underlust as a large part of the community, so it's not like that'd be a rare thing. I find it ironic that at this point most of the Undertale/Deltarune cast has more art of them out there being involved in those fetishes than this character ever will, considering it's a massive fandom out there and this character in comparison is just an OC of a single creator. What's infuriating is that there is literally nothing in the game itself pointing to the creator. So Sorry isn't even listed in the credits, even though the guys who designed Muffet and Glyde are! These people literally followed the paper trail from Kickstarter all the way to this guy's NSFW work just to give him shit. Part of me wants Toby to deliberately include So Sorry in a bigger role in Deltarune just to spite people (Like, make him the art teacher at school or something), but I doubt the character's creator would want to go through all that again.

The introverted version of the "Big Fun" archetype. I've often thought SoSo was kinda like Doug Funnie since they make sense of the world through imagination (as we artist types are wont to do). If Alphys is Rocko combined with Filbert, SoSo is Rocko combined with Heffer (and also those artistic Doug traits). Also, Sam-Sam is way better than me at digital art and I'm professionally trained in it! I bet their talent is just natural. Remember that one episode of 'Aaahh! Real Monsters!' where Oblina (who's kinda like Undyne) gives Ickis (who's A LOT like Alphys) sort of a pep talk, telling him that she has to work at monstering, whereas he has - as she says - "natural ability?" That's Sam-Sam. Also, if Alphys is the spirit animal of people like Sam-Sam and me (and most of you, probably), then Ickis is totally Alphys's spirit animal. *^w^*

Speaking about original cover artist I would actually prefer if you used the actual cover or the original soundtrack for your video. I don't think that my work deserves to be in any kind of video or bigger project. It would be disgraceful to the original cover artists.
