It make sense because in Undetale genocide route Asgore doesn't recognize the human (Frisk) as a human when he meets him/her, but rather sees them as an another kind of monster literally and metaphorically. In constrast, Clover's genocide was not done for the seek of "reaching the absolute" and for some twisted pleasure in killing monsters like what our human character does, Clover did all of that killing due to his twisted sense of JUSTICE of wanting to revenge all the other 5th previous fallen humans.

If you think about it, every route is justified except for the neutral, where you kill someone to achieve nothing At least in the genocide you kill Flowey, freeing the underground from this endless loop, so it makes sense. Also, you would've died if you didn't kill everyone, so it's kinda self defense, even if no one except for Clover fully understands it. Neutral Is just a little of senseless violence, where you just caused pain to someone for no reason at all.

And we should take into account that Clover shouldn't (theorically speaking) be able to remember things after her death. And if Flowey says that they start to notice that we go faster than usual, is thanks to us, not Clover. Flowey is the only one in the game that kinda feels the player influence in game. So It make sense that Clover sometimes could have been killed someone in self-defense. Realistically speaking, neutral route is the most sensical route of all routes. (Genocide is crazy and pacifist feels a bit impossible to access without ever dying once; because Clover doesn't remembers anything).

in UTY, there's a diary inside the room of Dalv, in said diary, it reveals that it's been 1 year since the "one" who brought Corn to Dalv stopped showing up, we know Kanako was the one who was bringing Corn to Dalv and she fell down and stopped showing up since Alphys was calling up the fallen Down for the DT experiment, it's safe to say that when Kanako was sent to the lab, the monsters had yet not became an Amalgamates, otherwise she would've stopped receiving more fallen down monsters and Flowey was created around the time where the Experiment was still on going because she wanted a Vessel for the monster souls so this implies that Flowey was recently created 1 year before UTY, and in around that time, Flowey had already used his power to befriend everyone, kill everyone, read every dialogue and had received a *BAD TIME*

What I like about this fight is the sheer fact that Clover is using only his soul of Justice. It would seem like his traditional form of attacking would have no effect. But his grudge and warped sense of justice (aka Vengeance) against monster kind (thanks to axis) have spiked to untold levels, its the only force strong enough to defeat the Zenith Martlet. Clover was prepared by countless deaths/resets because of Flowey. Even tho Clover can't remember anything, he DID got better at navigating Underground and killing monsters, even subconsciously (bro got killed even by a Snowdrake once, despite not being at LV 1). And he also learned to better use Determination, which is easier accessible with each LV (and vice versa). All of that culminated into Clover being so powerful that even Asgore (for whom 5 previous humans weren't a problem) was completely powerless yep, Flowey is a cruel, but effective trainer, that's for sure

Clover will let the other humans know about the monsters and the fate of the other kids, and i see 1 of 2 things happen 1- the humans fully block and way into the underground, keeping monsters trapped there with no hope of ever finding another human soul... 2- the humans would rally up and attack the underground, as Clover would probably tell them all monsters were evil. Monster kind would very easely and quickly be erased. I mean if just one very pissed of child can wreck the whole place. Imagine a village of fully grown and fully pissed off humans can do.

Well no, Clover, even if powerful and dangerous, isn't as dangerous as Frisk (both genocide) yes, he had the control over files to prevent flowey from attacking, but it's just that Frisk don't do that because there's no need to, only one hit, and they can wipe any monster before them. The fact itself that Clover doesn't have to control over the timeline until going genocide shows that Frisk has more DT and therefore, is more powerful than Clover.

Just beat her after two hours of attempts and damn, it really feels like the perfect end to a genocide. Sans tries to make you quit by using psychology. He tricks you, mocks you, but once you get the hang of it you start to see the patterns in his attacks. Here with martlet it’s just a constant barrage of shit thrown at you, she really doesn’t want you to win, and if you think about it it’s a clash between two different senses of justice, which really makes it fit even more!

Really like this fight, but for me this is one of the few things I felt was a downgrade from the original Undertale. Firstly, I must point the amazing character design for Martlet. Seeing her descend was undeniably epic. However, it felt as this was a bit of a cop out. It was kinda just " I'm gonna use this serum to get strong and kick your ass in a really hard fight and also it'll look cool". Compare this to sans, who doesn't have anything remotely as flashy as Zenith Martlet, but instead gives us ACTUAL DIALOGUE AND NOT JUST A RANDOM FLASHBACK. This dialogue really helps with the battle, it makes you feel like you're battling a real person who is just trying to avenge his dead brother and stop a really bad person. It feels less like some epic anime battle and more of a long, desparate fight. I also don't like how the difficulty of Zenith is done compared to sans. Zenith just throws random bullshit at you with very hard to recognise patterns. It feels like sometimes the best thing to do is mash the x button and hope for the best, which is just not good game design(or maybe I need to get good idk). Sans just breaks the rules of the game, with no invincibility, dodging attacks and even hitting you from the menu screen. However, his attacks while hard have clear patterns so are very dodgeable if memorised. It keeps that feeling of unfairness while still giving you hope to eventually beat him. The last thing is the build up to the fight. Martlet is always presented as not being much of the threat, even the first genocide fight while being tough is still doable for the average player in less than an hour. Zenith is very random and frankly doesnt add too much to her character rather than knowing about determination and sort of acting like a judge in this game. Sans usually acts goofy, but occasionally he is completely serious, this contrast is unsettling, and sets up sans as being quite mysterious. Before we kill papyrus in genocide, he says "You're gonna have a bad time". The player sees him as a potential boss. However when we kill Papyrus he just disappears. Then we reach the judgement hall, and it all fits together. One thing I think both fights do well is punishing the player. However, sans does it by constantly calling out your horrible actions during the fight, he reminds you that you are doing this to yourself, that no one forced you down this path, and you are now seeing the consequences. Zenith punishes the player by just being really hard (seriously took me abt 5 hours to beat her) which i personally prefer less but oh well. Still love this fight and theme though, sans is a very high bar to beat imo seeing as it single-handedly gave undertale its popularity. And actually I overall find this game to be roughly equal to Undertale, mostly because of the improvements to gameplay and major improvements to the rest of genocide route, but with worse (still good) characters and a less cohesive theme.
