Come to think of it, maybe the canon ending isn't even True Pacifist/Flawed Pacifist. Maybe the canon is: - Flowey RESETs, but doesn't send Clover to the Dark Ruins - Clover leaves the Ruins, reaches Waterfall, and falls to Undyne. - This explains how Clover's gear is salvaged by Bratty and Catty- However: - In canon, you find an EMPTY gun, not a TOY gun, implying that Flawed/True Pacifist took place, and Clover received the Wild Revolver from Starlo- but Clover could have always somehow gotten their hands on one elsewhere, anyway. Dunno. Just wanted to point it out, lmao

Midway through the True Pacifist End Credits, Martlet, Ceroba, Dalv and Starlo hold a memorial for Clover where they leave Clovers hat and gun on a raft and send it down a river. A sort of Viking funeral if you will. The game will linger on the shot of the raft going downriver while the credits continue to roll, then when the credits end the Raft tumbles over a waterfall and into the Waterfall dump from Undertale. This seems to be the only route in UTY where Clovers gear ends up in Waterfall.

Flowey is always listening like a stalker. He was listening to their conversation with Martlet in Snowdin and probably watched the fight, too. If you look in the foreground in waterfall at 32:38 , you can see Flowey watching them talk. Flowey knowing Clover's name without being told is an early indication (in my opinion) that there is far more to Flowey than he is letting on.

Honestly, my first run I *wanted* to go along with Flowey's plan, it was simply forbidden by the game. And the only other possible way to reach ASGORE in Flawed Pacifist, where Clover loses their resolve and the fight becomes completely unwinnable

QUICK question: for a optimized genocide run do i have to pacifist until i kill decibat? Sure i know how to fight el bailador and micro froggit (and it's similar) And i assume fleeing to later places in any area yields more EXP (proof: there were runs that i would have 10 LV against Ceroba, others 11LV)

If you want to be LV 11 at Ceroba, you just gotta speedrun to the end of each section before a major boss. You'll be fighting stronger enemies near the end. (in the dunes its before you meet Martlet the second time). I never spared anyone in a normal Genocide Route, so I don't know how it fully works. I haven't tested too much in the Ruins section.

I usually play it like neutral but stop before bosses/the wild east, and go back to kill everything. Would recommend going for the golden scarf as well.

I did genocide in the ruins and was still neutral in snowdin when reaching the mail whale (and honeydew resort), got the intro letter and the band merch pin, but couldn't get the silver scarf. Additionally, discovered this in pacifist, attacking Martlet on your third turn skips a majority of her attacks.

Yeup, You're still 'genocide' when you reach Snowfall, however, they simply despawn the guy that gives you matches, while the rest of the stuff is accessible. Once you hit a threshold (i dont remember), *then* it will activate a more genocide like map, and despawn most of the npcs like you're used to

Additionally, this is why when you walk into the first room with an encounter, you get one almost immediately, i believe there is a trigger to force a fight, testing to see if you will still genocide, or go neutral. Ofc, if you geno, it sets geno route still.

@@DarkCoatAzan I fled all the way to the resort, started blasting once I noticed the person that takes your coffee and starts the chain quest is just not there. The band already plays slower music due to ruins being done a genocide way (unless you ask them to play a tune to get the band merch pin) And yeah, there are encounter triggers, semi-forced encounters which only disappear once you're past them or already exhausted the kills. Every area with an encounter trigger won't spawn enemies as random encounters until that trigger is triggered.
