Making AXIS forget everything about the event is so messed up though, not only does not let him grow from it like how a real person would but also it's awful that a backdoor to regain those memories was installed into him, like I know it was a worse case scenario situation but the reason why AXIS even died in the Genocide route was because he was still remorseful about it all. I guess you could say that most likely the final straw was after AXIS started acting up when meeting with Asgore probably because of the trauma he still had from the murder of the blue souled human although if it was because his new empathy systems were installed into him at that time then it just proves that way of "fixing" him wasn't a good idea either way. Chujin really feels like a Pink Diamond from Steven Universe situation where you can understand why they acted the way they did but even still their tunnel vision and reckless actions do not make up for the pain they caused in the process.

@dragonblade38918 ай бұрын
And just like that, a lot of my sympathy for Chujin just upped and died. Saying stuff like "this outcome was earned" acting almost as if the Integrity Soul DESERVED to die is just plain revolting. They were just a kid. He didn't know them. He didn't know their story. Yes, they possibly killed or at least injured some monsters but we don't know the circumstances behind that. Maybe they felt they didn't have a choice and were forced to fight. Plus, we're only getting his side of the story. We don't get to hear the Soul's side, or Kanako's, and what little we overhear from Dalv seems to suggest there was more going on during that Incident than we think. Heck, the fact Chujin proceeded to hide the evidence and take the Soul for himself instead of at least bringing it to Asgore paints him as kind of a coward and his actions as rather criminal. That seems to be a major problem Chujin had. An inability to accept responsibility for his own actions, even trying to push the blame onto others. Axis was a failure? Obviously, Asgore is the one at fault for not approving his clearly dangerous, faulty work. Axis' programming gets a human child killed? Well, the human clearly "deserved it". What's worse, by the time he finally does realize his mistakes, it was too late to do anything about them....
@modernprometheus997 ай бұрын
And let's not forget that even Axis himself explicitly did not want to kill Integrity. He's genuinely remorseful in the genocide route and I believe him when he says he didn't have a choice. After all, if you spare him in a neutral route, he says that his actions were done because he has little control of his emotions due to his programming. Like it seems like Axis genuinely sapient to an extent but just does not have free will and that's rather fucked.

@@showbizstudios655 “differing opinion” and it’s just not understanding parts of the character?? Chujin has practically became the next alphys in the fandom and it’s annoying to see hate for him left and right when most people just don’t want to look deeper into his character Chujin was literally questioning himself when he said the outcome was earned (“this outcome was earned, was it not?”) because he never even intended for the murder to happen, he also outright admits that it was his programming error that was his fault, he thought it was asgore’s fault because he says it in the tape himself that axis has great potential, he saw it himself, he was shown to care about his creation a lot so of course he got mad if no one else could see it, chujin is selfish but this fandom seems to treat him like he’s some ego incarnate

I did not think to check back there and...wow. Think my sympathy for Chujin mostly just went out the door. Guess Ceroba must've donated it to Asgore at some point. Either way what an awful thing to do, like the integrity soul didn't even kill anyone, right? And for them to get brutally murdered by Axis like that...yikes.
@lasagna328910 ай бұрын
The soul of integrity killed at least one person, and attacked many more. There is of course the base game, where the Tutu is described as dusty and the Ballet Shoes described as dangerous, leading many to believe the blue child had killed - which is most likely the idea the creators of UTY subscribe to as well, given that they chose to portray them as violent. But also, when talking about his guns, Blackjack says (paraphrased) "Well, used enough times consecutively they could be lethal, but so could a pair of ballet shoes." Which is, of course, alluding to the snowdin attack, when the soul of integrity would have killed people using ballet shoes. The soul of integrity is also heavily implied to be the one who attacked Dalv. He encountered a violent human in the past, and this encounter caused him to hide away in the Ruins. There are three Fun value events that can occur in the Ruins. Remember the caterpillar? The pillar with a cat on it? It can be replaced with one of three drawings: Axis, who killed the soul of integrity. The soul of integrity, with their face crumbled away. And Dalv, running away in terror. In fact, Dalv seems to be utterly traumatized by this encounter. When he sees you, he thinks for a long time that you are the integrity soul, returned to finish the job and kill him. This seems to pretty clearly paint the story of this human. Regardless of their motives, they killed a lot of people. That being said. Continuing to pursue the Axis program after this nightmare... bad! Chujin makes it pretty clear that he does not care for humans at all. In fact, Axis's whole purpose is to assist in wiping them out - to win the war. But... Chujin openly admits Axis is dangerous. Even if the blue child was murderous, he acknowledges that this project is dangerous and continues to pursue it anyway.

In Ut yellow, the blue soul is hinted to have been genocidal or at least hurt or killed many monsters so they're not so innocent
@Aisubun9 ай бұрын
@@lasagna3289 Hm I always assumed the reason of the name Dusty Tutu in the base game was to show how long it's been neglected since the Integrity soul died. I guess that's a valid read but I'm not a big fan of it. I don't really like to think of any of the previous humans as being genocidal because I feel like if they were it would've been brought up, or at least, some monsters would remember what a human looks like. In any case since that is canon to Yellow I guess stopping the integrity soul makes sense but I still think keeping it for himself is a dick move.
@gianni507259 ай бұрын
@@odora_98 I think the evidence is limited. I see why they did it, but there is greater evidence for Clover being violent than the blue soul. The game says the tutu is "dusty", yes, but the description for Blue is benign: "Hopping and twirling, your original style pulled you through." Compare to Yellow: "Your sure-fire accuracy put an end to the mayhem of 'Ball.' " Also note that the gun is _empty_ and that Clover's hat increases attack (which no other armor does). Also compare to Orange: "You are the kind of person who rushes fists-first through all obstacles." And light blue: "''Ball' is 'Small.' You waited, still, for this opportunity, ... then dethroned 'Ball' with a sharp attack." The reality is likely that Blue, Green, and maybe Purple were the only pacifist humans. Everyone else seems to have heavy implications of violence.

@@lasagna3289 I think that if the Integrity soul were to kill, it would be due to someone doing something so despicable that it betrayed their morality or something. Dalv attacked first, probably the monster in Snowdin had attacked as well. I can’t believe Axis would murder that poor human. Axis’s death is justified I think.
