I politely beg to differ. The songs were written by John O'Neill, Damien O'Neill or Mickey Bradley or any combination of those 3. The songs sound right with Paul singing them and it's the songs that count at the end of the day! I think Paul has great stage presence and charisma too. If Feargal had written any of those songs you'd have a point but he didn't contribute to the writing of any of the main Undertones songs. I'd agree that his voice was distinctive and a selling point at the time but Paul sounds similar and is a great replacement.

@@andynicholas1728 The current guy sounds nothing like Feargal Sharkey. It was his voice which that band stand head and shoulders amongst the other bands at the time. Yes, the music was good, but albums like Hypnotised wouldn't have the same appeal without Mr Sharkey.

@@shack7631 Still I prefer the Undertones with Paul than no Undertones at all... and 'Thrill me' is a great song that's fully in line of their early work. Paul's voice is perfect for that song.
