Personally, I think the big brain play is the rare Charizard from Vivid Voltage, ESPECIALLY the reverse holo. You can get them for, like, 2 or 3 dollars, and I foresee the value growing really well over the next ten years. Also, any reverse holo Pikachu is probably a nice cheap pick up.

if you dont mind the Japanese text a great alternative if you want cheaper versions of the higher end Charizard's is to buy them in Japanese. i got a Japanese delta species Charizard for $70 that had the quality of a $200 English one and a lp blains Charizard for just $40. next im looking to get a holo dark Charizard that run 40-70 if you want one in decent condition from japan.
