Underwater cams have absolutely changed ice fishing videos. Makes it more exciting then summer fishing vids. You need to get a video this winter of a huge pike smashing a tip up!

I use the FPV power 12v 17.5 AH battery and an inline regulator and can get around 8 hours run time on that setup as long as you keep the power saving mode below 40. The regulator allows the lithium battery to constantly put out 11.7 volts even when the battery itself goes a little lower. I bet if you used a regulator on the dakota lithiums they would last a lot longer as well. I just used the FPV because thats what I had powering my kayak. keep up the great videos get lots of ideas from you thanks

I wish u had a under water video comparison between the gen 2 cameras the HD7i Pro and the HD10i these 2 camera's are at the same price but have different quality's the HD7i Pro has almost double the Knits for brightness then the HD10i does and wanted to see if this key detail makes the Hd7i pro a better choice then the HD10i.

Great info as always . I have the evolution pro and love it! Only problem is in stained water the light isn’t as good and picture quality is reduced fast. With one of HD aqua vu would there be some improvement or all depends on the amount of light penetration ??? Thanks i

There is a little improvement but a lot of it really depends on water clarity.

Hey man. Got same setup for video recording. But have Aqua vu 715.. so it is only Video OUT input....so I connected HDMI to video block and Video cord to Aqua vu...and it's not working...can you tell me wich one options do I have to turn on in AverMedia ...should I use OUT or IN by HDMI..and what else? Great information!! Question - do you use this in conjunction with a fish finder or instead of a fish finder? I think this is a great tool when you get to see the fish and how they are acting but if you can't find the fish, there's not much to see on the camera. I guess you can use this as a fish finder too? However, it doesn't seem to really get a wide viewing range side to side.

You can't put a card in no. But I believe there is about 32GB of storage.

Any problem's with your accessories in the cold or moisture? Do you keep the accessories(Aver, Dakota power pack, etc..) while in use in some sort of compact carrying case or do you just lay them next to the underwater camera when using?

Clayton, I guarantee you if you can find a way to Livestream fishing (IRL) you will become the most popular angler on the internet. People on Twitch go crazy for IRL stuff, especially fishing. Sounds weird but there's alot of people that enjoy outdoorsy type streams, regardless if theres action or not.

Nice one! Question: what is the quality on that smaller micro pro compared to those bigger units you have? Is it worth the money when you want a clear-ish image of what's down there? Given that the water is clear of course.

Quality is a bit lower for sure, its all depends what you are after. If you want a super crisp image then 100% the HD versions

I've got the 715, I never can see anything so I haven't really used it. As soon as I drop it down the hole it's way too dark to see anything, and if I turn on the light it just looks like a snowstorm. I've only used it in clear lake trout lakes and a quarry that has 15' of visibility and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

I find the light on the camera does not work really well. I also dont have much expereince with that camera. I lot could depend on the water clarity in the lake. But it sounds like you are fishing in a clear lake... Maybe send some pictures of what it looks like to aqua vu
