In NW England in the tidal area of the River Ribble - in the 60's & 70's people uses to wrap big lob-worms in wool, then around a weight attached to line . . . that was secured to the bank and in one tidal phase the the 'wool-ball' would be recovered with 4, 5, 6 Eels attached to it (their teeth would tangle with the wool) The Eels would then be (unidentifiably!) one of the main ingredients of 'Fish-Pie'

@TheBrittanyyy2 sea horses, clown fish and gold fish require different water types. This eel is a freshwater tropical, goldfish are coldwater freshwater, and sea horses and clown fish are saltwater marine and require different corals to create a proper eco ecosystem...so no they are not proper tankmates

Yeah eels can be picky but usually always get them with worms. My experience so far with what works best. #1 Worms, #2 shrimps, #3 dead fish, #4 liver

I saw somwere ells are on the decline yet there is an old pond next to the river were i live and if u bottom fish with worms you will literally catch a ell every cast decent sizes to and its been like that for as long as i can remember

This is a very cool video! I was fishing in my brothers pond and I found a baby eel, but it was already dead. So, I know there are eels in there with MONSTER BASS!

It looked as though the eel who almost ate the meat at around 3:00 was put off by the amount of chop on the surface increasing. He nearly had a go but it looked like the wind picked up at just the wrong moment

fantastic video , i`m really shocked how wary the eel`s are , maybe there was a pike not too far away and the eel could smell it and thats why it wouldn`t settle on the feed ,one to think about in the middle of the night while eel fishing,the zebra muscles sure have made your filming alot easier for sure ;0)

might not sound but try useing beef meat with bone let it spoil a little and throw it in im from poland and i heard stories after ww2 people would catch eel and when gutting them they would find soldier uniform buttons they say that eel eat any dead meat in water

Eels love there food floating or slowly sinking....they recognize the object as prey but if its stationary on the ground they wont recognise it...next time try getting the eels attention fist then feed it...Ive played with eels when i was a kid in the creeks in my back yard...you should come film the giant eels of New Ireland, Papua new guinea

Well in a pond I fish in they was all in with bass, bluegills, and catfish. Eels eat meat very fun to catch on a rod and reel, but be careful taking the hook out to no hurt them : D. I'm a catch and release on all my catches.. well 99%

That isn't an eel, that is a fish.. It is Sidat fish, you know the different between fish and eel is their pectoral fin, eel hasn't that..

Try some Stinky Chicken or Pork Liver (The're the cheapest) Buy some liver chopped up if Pork of Beef leave it out in Warm for 2-3 days,Than feed it to the Eels.They will be there in minutes! They say Eels can smell rotting flesh from 500 km away
