Great shots! Love the videos and your book Underwater Photography Masterclass is a great resource. I have a question about the remotely backlit shots. The coral spawning backlit photo (p.137) not shown here but I love that shot. I am trying the Anglerfish Remote trigger and am wondering for a coral spawning shot how you avoid backscatter while having the coral gametes show. I have tested it on a regular night dive and the particles in the water show up a lot. Also, how far is the remote strobe in the background away from the coral?

The strobe does not need to be far away from the coral, but it must be hidden from the camera - down low - behind the coral. The aim is to light the particles in the water (bundles) when the coral spawns, so some backscatter is inevitable.

@@Alex_Mustard Thank you for your response. I guess I will have to hope for a night with as little particles as possible. I tested this out few nights ago (before spawning) and lit up a lot of particles in the water. On another note, the trigger only fired about 50% of the time so still figuring out the exact angle of the on camera strobe to hit the trigger but not as much the foreground.
