Brilliant, a completely different type of nature painting, an undersea world of marvel and mystery. The blue hues come out of the palette of Brushmaster Javid to party on the paper!

How do you make those downward strokes of light from the top @ 6:17 ? How are you lifting the paint @8:15

This was extremely helpful! I didn't realize that you could wipe off water color paint so easily to create white spots! So, when I go to paint objects underwater, the colors will still come through along with the blue hue of the water.

Really great picture Javid :-) !!! Reminds me of a ceiling painting at my dentist - very calming and distracting from an otherwise unattractive thing due to the many details... ;-) Unfortunately, your current paintings from 2022 are painted very quickly and roughly, I lack the brilliant ideas and fine pictures from the year 2021 ! Nevertheless: stay healthy and continue to delight us with wonderful watercolor paintings :-)

Hello Javid 😀 Can you give me time stamps for colors, cerulean blue hue and viririan hue?. Painting is just so unique unlike ones you've painted before. Keep posting more 😊 Love from India ❤️

Hi Anish! Isn't this beautiful? I've got to give it a try today, while my children are out. So by my eye, viridian (danielsmith.com/viridian-15ml-tube-daniel-smith-extra-fine-watercolor/) is the first he puts down, then he pulls Cerulean (danielsmith.com/cerulean-blue-15ml-tube-daniel-smith-extra-fine-watercolor/) into the mix next, around 1:40. I will tell you though that I have some issues with the palette Jayvid lists. At least here in US ( maybe the labels aren't printed in English overseas? I doubt it - Holbein is printed in Japanese, here), there is no Blue Pale, nor is there an Ultramarine light. There is an Ultramarine Violet in this line, which is a bit deeper than Ultra, and I believe Schmincke has an Ultra Deep, but in the US version of Daniel Smith's 250+ colors, I don't believe those two exist, so my estimates of his use of color could be wrong here. I hope this is helpful. It'll let you know what I find further after I attempt (and botch) this inspiring piece :)

Gah. Scratch my first estimate. When I look at the painting as a whole, I see a greenish hue about mid height and indeed at 2:20 , Jayvid pulls a green in from the dead middle slot in the bottom of the palette (facing us). I believe that to be Viridian. Perhaps that first color is the Pale Blue he mentions? I don't have my notes on his palette handy at the moment but he so rarely uses this end of it that I only have a few colors identified. I'm going to finish watching and have a coffee then get to it !

@@morgenmachen2400 Mrs Morgen, you're just a savior and a blessing. I was very tired because of university work and when I started with the painting, I just couldn't figure out the colors and for which I asked for timestamps (uk when you're mentally tired, then mind doesn't work well on matching colors). I too saw greenish hue at 2:20 but I think it is Viridian but diluted, I think initially he did use pale blue but I don't see much difference between pale blue and light blue though. As you told me about color theory initially when we talked, it really helped me alot though m not as specific as you are but it certainly helped me out. Also Holbein is a great brand, it ships globally and therefore most of its paints are manufactured in Japan with best pigment quality(I honestly use sennelier, I feel much better with them). You might find it difficult to understand the Japanese but try out Google lens in ur phone and click the pic and copy and paste it in Google translate, it'll help you out. It's quite late in india now, I should probably be sleeping otherwise mum will scold me. Thnx Mrs Morgen, 😊 Have a great day ahead 🤞🏻 nd thnx for the time stamps

@@Uddaybhaikabaap no problem at all , friend . It helps me to look closely and objectively , answering a question outside of my own head. I'm right now working on laying out Jayvids palette again, for this painting, which I'm looking forward to starting. I have a heap of empty palettes and I'd like to send you one filled with a healthy dab of all of these colors , if you'll give me an address. Message me at ravensmom11910@gmail.com, when you're up and have time. Have a great sleep !

@@morgenmachen2400 hi Morgen. Thanks for always being so very helpful with pointing out the right colours he uses. Sometimes like you said I can’t find the colours he says in my Daniel Smith swab chart. Like I think he is using Cobalt teal and turquoise I think rather than pale blue. Would you know the kind of calligraphy brush he is using. I wonder if Amazon carries it. Again thanks so much for your generous information.
