I tried it once when a company came to a nice dive spot for a test day. I mostly freedive and did exactly what you did! I totally agree with what you're saying in the description. So incredibly liberating! I was smiling from ear to ear underwater and laughing out loud while on surface. I easily went down to 25 meters and up with enjoyment. I would really love to have one myself but they are too expensive so far. One day when I have a boat then it will be better to handle it and easier to get it to the water :) There are cheaper ones but they're two handed and that would be problematic with equalizing..'
