The slime on the wood is actually not harmfull to fish/shrimps. You just need to boil it again and for a longer period of time! You should look into worms, they might be small shrimps predators. Keep up the good work! Amazing video!

I love what you accomplished. The tank is beautiful. Would like to offer a couple tips. The Daphnia are not the thing you need to be concerned about. The larvae of the Cyclops are parasitic to fish. I managed several tropical fish stores and warehouses/fish-rooms over a 30+ year career, and one of the hardest parasites to fight were Cyclops. They were common hitchhikers on shipments of live plants. I have never seen Cyclops infest shrimp, so if you don't plan on adding any fish you should be fine. If you get overwhelmed by daphnia a few small tetras or rasboras will eat them all very quickly, just be aware those fish will probably be lost to the Cyclops larvae. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing this.

He didn't cycle the tank for long enough so ammonia spikes will happen frequently. And no, heaters in aquariums aren't used to make the cycling process go faster. Its used to keep the aquariums at a good temperature for the shrimp so they won't die. He didn't even use any pH test or ammonia tests. Please, please do your research. Also if these fish are getting pregnant, that means more shrimp. So your tank will get overcrowded and your fish will get stressed. Hope this advice helps
