Fully agree when they put the pedal to the metal, it’s surreal, absorbing- so much, so many loops can be running simultaneously yet it’s not just a garble of noise: there’s an etheric calculation behind every sound and beat and how they’re tweaked: forwards, backwards, bothwards and it’s never *cluttered*. 100 sounds can be happening (or 1), but brilliant. The same loop can run 12 minutes without ever changing and for me that pulls me in. Rabbit hole. :)

Yes, this is a generation of trance, techno, and otherwise. Wistful sound-memory balanced between vocals and cross cut with gyroscopic beats of 90’s house and Trance makes Underworld a style/genre of its own.

@@alfredgorman1723 There is a venue in the North East of England called Sage Gateshead and l have been to many gigs there. It's fully seated, a purpose built music venue and tends to be quite "polite" in it's audience involvement. Underworld played it on their 20th Anniversary of Dubnobass tour back in 2014 and l can honestly say l've never seen the Sage go off like that. Just like your SOH experience, the whole place was dancing & cheering the whole time. They are more than a bit "special", Underworld. Magicians. I'm off to see them at Wembley in December for the umpteenth time and am very much looking forward to hearing all this great new music, particularly Border Country and Listen To Their No. They are the gift that keeps on giving!

It's like Underworld are able to reach into my brain, figure out exactly what sounds are required to get my synapses firing at optimum levels, and then go back to their studio to create exactly those sounds. EDIT: I think I also need to give a lot of credit here to Ø [Phase]. After listening to a lot of his stuff, there seems to be quite a bit of his influence in this track.
