If you are asking about hardware for reality capture, you will never make a mistake if you will choose: FARO, Trimble, Leica, Riegl and Z+F equipment. I'm not saying other lesser-known equipment is bad, but it's impossible to test everything. Software for scan station registration is best to choose according to the hardware brand. Trimble Real works are worth to try if you have TRIMBLE, FARO or Z+F scanner because there is option to directly import. If you are asking about photogrammetry software, I would go with Capturing Reality and Metashape (Agisoft). This is a very broad question. Undet is for supersmooth workflow with point cloud to prepare final deliverables (2D drawings & 3D / BIM models) in your favorite CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Ares Commander).
