Look, for this to be a next gen boxing game I actually expected more. I like it will be a minor upgrade of night night. The ref should be in the ring as well during the fight. I’m rooting for this game tho

In 2005 Titlebout Championship Boxing had a version like this but no where near as good as graphics. BUT IT had 4000 boxers in all weigh divisions, from all eras...it was for PC only. Hope this has that many.

I think for their first game they should stick with rag doll physics and not worry about having too many different animations. What makes a good boxing game is intuitive controls and being able to counter punch and good head movement. I d like for them to go with the traditional power bar for health while still being able to get flash KO’s depending on balance when counter landed and power of the shot. Hopefully you can vary your power shots if you want to box or you want to save your health/stamina for later rounds

really looking forward to this, stoked its on PC also. However game devs still havent figured out how to recreate natural human movement yet unfortunately. But i suppose that doesnt matter. Like if you look at Roy jones vs trinidad, roy jones sways , bounces off the ropes, gets back into defense posture, bounes around. The way a body moves and hands move and head movement in real life, they havent quire figured out how to not make it look so rigid and static. Roy jones jnr would soemtimes put his arm down by his side and quickly snap jab. Things like that, natural organic whip jabs, look like hes relaxing then out of nowhere a snap cross you couldnt see coming. Unorthodox timing like an elden ring boss lol. Or hed do a jab, duck to the right, come back up , quick lunge hook in a split second. Just crazy stuff. Must be hard to emulate in game but would make the game SO much better if they could truly get the movement of the real boxers down and the Ai mimics the real life counterparts.

Good eye. Imo, Fight Night:R3 had the most accurate/real life Roy animations in all the boxing games. From the leaping left hook to the haymakers to the random taunts he would do during fight. He would even stick out his right hand towards the opponent as a pad trainer would do during session, just like in real life.

I really really wanna like this game and I won’t make a decision intel I play it myself, but the movement seems a bit slow like the punches do, and it seems like there’s no impact when landing and at times you can’t even tell, it’s early I am very confident they’ll figure it out but intel then I’m super iffy on how I feel about this game.

Little impact, a random punch can rock the opponent, commentator always says that changes everything. You might aswell kust spam punches and get lucky

Hardly a gripe but, I remember RJJ wearing Grants. My gripe is that I think they need more animations when getting back to stance. Seems like the head continually stays on the line after each punch. Wish it looked more like boxing with more unique animations.

Alright first I want to say this was a good video to watch love Roy Jones movement power jab cross straight just his movement looks on point needs polish but looks very good. I've seen some videos that make it look bad but this one really looked like a real fight with accurate punches being land and picked where as some they seem to be trying to throw to many and they ghost punching specially with wilder and usyk. They need to work on the knockout mechanics and not try to be fight night in anyway do better. For what I see it's getting there

I wouldn’t hate it if their feet weren’t flat on the ground while throwing, the first thing you learn is to step into your punches. really hoped they’d improve off fight nights mechanics where distance is so Important, in that game when timed right and the stick wasn’t pushed too far it really felt like you could snap your jab but if you rushed in and pushed the stick too far your fighter would overstep and be really susceptible to a counter. I know this game has a small team of developers but I feel like they were more concerned with signing the big names that fight night couldn’t get

Here, the developers are trying to achieve the effect of a real boxing match, in which not all punches are successful and accurate. Of course, they still have a lot of work to do with antmations, but I like that they have chosen this direction, towards realism.

The devs have given a lot of freedom to the movement in this game so if people are playing in a strange way then the match will look odd. I'd like to see 2 players against each other who understand the complete moveset and then see how the match looks.
