I was introduced to these geniuses by my late father when I was a child. Love them. 💕💕💕

The funniest men to have lived. How on earth they produced the stuff they did, consistently for 25 years.

The Swedish version of "Steptoe and Son " "Abert och Herbert" withStern-Ake Cederhok and Tomas von Brömsen is abosoluly a comedy series classic here in Sweden. They even wrote a Tv-movie for thees actors and their characters.

Galton always struck me as though he felt it was all beneath him, the pompous side of Hancock and Simpson the humorous child like quality

Paid per joke fee paid was five shillings=25p, not five quid (pounds, £s) or they’d have soon been millionaires! A bob=a shilling.

No, sorry. They were good but "Undisputed Kings" i would dispute. That title belong to Jimmy Perry and David Croft.
@ysgol34 жыл бұрын
Hi, I don't dispute that it's disputed, it's certainly not undisputed, but Ray and Alan were just ahead I reckon, with Perry and Croft tied with Clement and La Frenais, Linehan and Matthews and Johnny Speight for second

Curtis and Elton were the best and then Grant and Naylor

Perry and Croft, Clement and La Frenais, John Cleese and Connie Booth, Johnny Speight, John Sullivan...all geniuses, but for me, Galton and Simpson top the lot
