I’m a Colts fan. I thought all season the Colts WR’s suck except Pittman and no one gets open. Then I watched Kurt Warner’s 40 minute break down of Wentz in the Jacksonville game. I was amazed. I came out of that game thinking no WR’s were open and the o-line sucked. Then I saw Kurt go over poor read after read, missed check downs and slow decision making. There were Colts open that whole game and Wentz just choked or held the ball way too long…and that was vs Jax. In the Jags game alone, JT would have likely had another 150 receiving yards just off of some of the insanely wide open check downs Wentz didn’t even bother to look at because he was forcing it down the field.

Huge Wentz fan/Philly fan. I'm glad we traded him, he is a big part of why we won that superbowl. It's just his playstyle and mental state of mind has changed ever since his injuries/almos MVP season. Carson Wentz now, hesitates, extends plays(every play) without taking what the defense gives you causing poor decisions. Movement has changed due to those knees and back injuries. Pocket awareness is gone. Definitely talented arm wise still, but Carson Wentz is Carson Wentz..

Longtime eagles fan here. During the 2017 season, the hype was real. I thought Wentz was Josh Allen before Josh Allen. Sad to see how far he's fallen. Not that he didn't face adversity, but he clearly wasn't equipped to handle it. His career is essentially over. He couldn't work with such a favorable situation in Indy. Lots of talent, easy division, working with the coach that brought the best out of him, low media pressure compared to Philly. Washington is the last place this guy will succeed. It's over. I'll never forget his contributions to our first Super Bowl, but man, he's fallen far.

@archie prime Idk how a bounce back season of 27TD’s and 7 INT’s is falling... ppl wanna blame him for the season cause they lost to the jags (haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014) but what did Jonathon Taylor do? Got stopped 2 times on 4th and 1 situations, pitman dropped a 3rd and 19 that woulda been a 1st down, pascal dropped 2 40+ yard passes 1 on 3rd down before the half and the 2nd on 4th down in the 4th quarter. That “great” defense let Trevor Lawrence throw all over them and they committed dumb penalties to keep drives alive for the jags.. ppl wanna forget how good he is in prime time games and when the colts at (1-4) played the ravens (4-1) and they would’ve been in the playoffs if that “great” defense didn’t let Lamar Jackson throw for 442 and run for 62 more. After the defense blew the lead And they were tied Wentz still got them into FG range with only 39 seconds to do it and the kicker missed the game winner. Wentz had 402 and Taylor the “best RB in the league” besides a 19 yard run averaged 2.4 yards a carry. They started 1-5 and finished 8-3 the last 11 games, no one wants to talk about the defense or the kicker missing the FG that took in costing them the season smh

3500 yards. 27 TS only 7 INTs. If you a team you say, "well that's not bad at all. And really, it's not. He a little like Dak. Number wise Dak looks the one of the best in the NFL. But he's not even close. It's when you get them. It's when you turn it over. You could throw 16 INTs a year. You say that was bad. But looking into it. Every pick was a throw into the end zone just before the half from the 50. So, they were picks. But they were so what picks. They hurt nothing. Incomplete or an INT so what. Take a chance of take a knee. Wentz always seems turn it over at the wrong time. Dig deeper. 50% when not throwing a dump off. Not good. Numbers wise you could almost say pro bowl. Actual play shouldn't get paid to play QB in the NFL as a starter.

When I got a whiff of Wentz having problems in Philly I did my research. Look at the conference Wentz played in while in college, how many NFL QBs has that conference produced? You can have all the skills but if you don't have experience playing against the best, you may not be able to have success in the next level.

I think he was the best option for the Colts unless they make a big swing for a great QB, but to say he had the best O-Line in football and great weapons is nonsense. The O-Line is a very good blocking the run, but struggled to protect Wentz (some of that does fall to Wentz not getting the ball out quick), and MPJ may be very good and Taylor is great, but outside of them, I dont know how good the rest of the weapons are.
