Only depth issue is behind Embiid but Paul Millsap can play the 4 and 5. The 2 1st round picks Brooklyn got are unknown and unproven, I’ll take Maxey and Thybulle over any players that are acquired with those 2 picks which are actually very low and 1 is protected and 1 isn’t. KD doesn’t have much time left due to age and injury, Seth Curry ain’t really all that, Drummond isn’t what he used to be and is a FA, Kyrie might be gone in the offseason and if he isn’t he still doesn’t have much time left. Also we don’t know if Ben will ever shoot or gain the confidence to shoot. So many unknowns about Brooklyn past this season while Philly kept it’s young core intact and Embiid only being 27 extends Philly’s championship window. Harden helps us contend now, Maxey and Thybulle’s develop could extend our period of contention

@@noahmarshall873 and even with all of that being said, it's still not an even trade because the sixers still lost something, the nets didn't because harden was actively gaining weight and trying to become worse and worse on purpose. If anything, losing harder and getting nothing in return would have made the nets better, atleast then they dont have a guy on the team who is quite literally trying to lose his way out of town. Role players are hugely important in the NBA plus ontop of that you have to look at just how much better each team got, the sixers got a superstar who has never not melted down in the playoffs, who is ball dominant when they already had a ball dominant player in embiid, the nets added height and defense and even another 40% 3pt shooter in return for a guy who was trying to make the team worse. That's without even mentioning ben simmons if in the last 5 months he has gotten out of his shooting slump or if one of the best all time free throw shooters in steve nash can't help him if he hasn't already.
