Because this was never about Bronny or his career, this was all about LeBron. LeBron is using Bronny to stay relevant in the media and in the NBA. It’s very surprising that Bronny was drafted after his freshman season at USC. He averaged 4 points a game. To put it in perspective, that’s no better than LaVar Ball, the trash talker and father of Lonzo Ball when he (LaVar Ball) averaged 3 points a game in college. In the meantime Boogie Ellis, Bronnys’ teammate at USC average around 17 points a game and didn’t get drafted. That’s a BAD LOOK for the NBA. I don’t care if Ellis was signed as a free agent. He should’ve been drafted before Bronny……..I’m NOT taking anything away from him but now people who don’t make the cut, have a legitimate claim when they say that they were cut from any NBA team because of politics. People will argue favoritism with Bronny and now have definitive proof. If it’s going on with the Lakers then who’s to say other teams aren’t doing it? This isn’t a guy that came right out of high school like LeBron. LeBron can say that he would’ve dominated college because he never played in college, but his son is a different story. He didn’t stand out in college. If Bronny does well, people will have a strong argument that he got more personal attention from the coaches than other players. That’s the only conclusion that you can come to, because I don’t see how he gets better without extra attention. People will argue about his potential but, that wasn’t demonstrated in college and it should’ve been before he was drafted.
