Skip kept contradicting himself yet again -_- so because Bron has made a few layups which were game winners, they're not clutch but when he attempts a jump shot and misses he slated because he didn't attack the rim :/ So, when he makes the last second shot it's not clutch - because it's just an easy layup - and when he misses any type of shot he isn't clutch :S #SkipsRoad2Recovery

Skip isn't interested in 55 seconds left, etc... yet he always talks about Kyrie's shot to win game 7 - which was taken with about 55 seconds left.... hmmmm. The shot that iced the game was made by Lebron (of course - but we won't pay attention to it) - the foul shot that put them up by 4 points. Kyrie (I love his game) also made one of the biggest blunders in NBA history at about 30 seconds left - he's lucky it didn' cost them the title - Skip doesn't mention that - ever.

He is clutch but certainly not THE most clutch in the league. Just because you don't hit the last shot doesn't mean your not clutch. Bron isn't a marksman. I have seen LeBron make game winners; go on a scoring stretch, assist, and place his team in the best spot to win. His numbers aren't bad too. The media has made it seem worse than it actually is. Not necessarily. If he truly was, it wouldn't need to be mentioned every single day. 😁 You don't really hear people debating whether Shaq would wreck everyone in any era, because he obviously would. No debate needed. Was he the greatest centre ever, though? 🤔 No. This Lebron debate comes up, to keep ratings high. There's literally nothing else to talk about, because the NBA isn't what it used to be.
@Michael-yu9ix7 жыл бұрын
I think Lebron is not only unique in his combination of physicality, versatility and basketball IQ, he is also quite outstanding in terms of his achievements so far. And he probably has still 5 GREAT years to go. So his dominance will maybe be matched by his achievements at some point. We will see...
@lumleyphillip86753097 жыл бұрын
1Flyingfist Facts on top of facts.
@pjs71367 жыл бұрын
No offense 1Flyingfist but they literally did the same thing with Jordan. Jordan retired in 1996 right? So, on October 29, 1996, when the NBA celebrated its 50th year with the retirement of the 50 Greatest Players of all Time, David Stern proclaimed Jordan as the GOAT as a publicity stunt to make the NBA relevant even after Jordan's retirement. A lot of players had qualms about the decision because it was always a debate before then. Now, at first Jordan denied this later that same year because it was disrespectful to the greats like Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell. Because later that year as well, Chamberlain was getting worked up about the announcement. He stated things like, "Jordan can't beat me one on one" which is true, and "They made the league easier for him while they made things harder for me" which is true as well. Oh and if you need facts to back it up, here are some rule changes that benefited guards and smaller players like Jordan while limiting centers and big men like Wilt: 1. They widened the free throw lane to hamper centers and forwards (who were obviously not good free throw shooters because of their size, Dirk would later prove this wrong because of his techniques). 2. They also did this because players could dunk the ball for a free throw if they could jump from the line and they also disallowed players from going beyond the line (Wilt frequently did this, it was also allowed to take a few steps backwards but the shot has to be made from the free throw line). 3. They made the goal tending rule (to give smaller players some advantage when going to the hole). Rule changes that helped Jordan from 1990 to 1996: 1. Increasing penalties for flagrant fouls - 1990 2. Anyone who uses violence (i.e. punches) is automatically ejected - 1993 3. Shortened 3-point line from 23 feet to 22 (1994 - 1997) 4. Fouled 3-point shots get 3 free throws - 1994 5. Clear path rule enhancement (i.e. Jordan is alone on the other half of the court for a fast break, anyone from the opposing team isn't in front of him. If someone tries to grab him, the clear path rule now gives players 2 automatic shots at the free throw line. Back then, that was just considered a reach in foul if the player isn't in shooting motion.) -1994 6. Players with 2 flagrant fouls are automatically ejected - 1994 7. Employment of hand checking - 1994 Sorry, guys. I don't want to diminish Jordan's achievements but we've got to be honest. Sure it was hard for him during the 1st 3-peat but when he got back from his first retirement, it was basically like the league right now. The Jordan Rules that were used by the Pistons against him were harsh, Jordan was basically the NBA's poster boy back then so when people noticed that these things needed to go, the NBA didn't hesitate. No, need to go ballistic, I'm just providing some context to the situation.

Meely I think Lebron carries the offensive/defensive load, and Kyrie takes the lost shot when it's necessary and the best shot you can get is an ISO or he's hot/there's a mismatch Kyrie has also shown he can step up when lebron under performs or when the challenge is large enough (like last year's warriors when down 3-1) So Lebron deserves most of the credit and Kyrie is kind of like a superstar ISO version of Robert Horry

@rileymerino63407 жыл бұрын
ChiTown4131 well for starters you could go up against a 65 win team in the finals three years in a row. It makes it a little tough to just bowl over the competition like Jordan did against teams that were clearly inferior to his bulls. That's a big difference to me in the conversation of GOAT; yes Jordan three prayed twice, and he was totally responsible for both, but he also had a fantastic team with one of the best defenders of all time and another great defender who was one of the best rebounders ever, and a pretty great 3 point specialist. His team was always better than whoever they faced in that 7 year stretch. The last three years, the warriors have simply been a better team with more diversity and talent than Lebron's team. He's always the underdog, naturally he's going to lose some finals that way. That's why it's such a testament that he did win last year and performed at a higher level than anybody, including MJ, ever has in the finals. The difference between Lebron and a lot of the other legends is that MJs team was always the best in his prime. Kobes team was clearly the best and they still lost a few. Magics team was always the best. Lebron is the perpetual underdog as it always seems like his team is the consistently second or third best team in the league aside from his couple years in Miami. Don't just look at the end results look at the whole picture. Lebron does more with worse guys than anybody else in history. This isn't to say Love and Kyrie aren't great now, but the Cavs team wasn't even the one seed in the east, they're clearly outmatched in this finals and thus you can't only hold Lebron accountable if they lose.

Major L. His Finals career numbers are way below his regular season. He is responsible for the biggest individual choke ever in 2011. He is 35% on playoff gamewinners Jordan's Finals numbers are above his already legendary regular season ones. He has the most Finals records of all time by far. He is 50% on playoff game winners

Lebron is hella clutch. Not just in the last 5 seconds but in big series like game 7s and finals and elimination games. I've watched this man come back from 29 points in a row against the pistons and hit the game winner.

Kyrie is the most clutch player on both teams.
@blackyemen7 жыл бұрын
I'll just say this... If you win games by 10+ you don't have to take the "last shot". Jordan and Lebron are 2 different people. To Jordan the right play in the last 10 sec is to have it in his hands for a shot. Lebron with 10 sec. left wants to make the best play either a pass OR shot.I will say Jordan has to be THE MOST COMPETITIVE PLAYER EVER IN ANY SPORT ONLY RIVALED BY MUHAMMED ALI AND MAYBE TOM BRADY. Does Lebron have to take a last shot or can we just enjoy his greatness and what he does.

LeBron came back from a 3-1 deficit IN THE FINALS!!! Have y’all forgotten this?! And it’s more than just the fact no team has done this, no... it’s the fact that LEBRON CAME BACK FROM A 3-1 DEFICIT. You can argue he’s not the most clutch overall but that single performance is the most clutch “anything” that any player has ever accomplished. This is not fake news. #Science
