I actually remember the point where Skip completely jumped the shark when it came to commenting on LeBron. It was the series between the Cavaliers and the Celtics in 2017. There were two games that were exact mirror images of each other. Same teams, same rosters. In one game, LeBron scored a damn ton in the first 3 quarters while the rest of the team wasn't doing much, and had like 4 in the 4th; meanwhile, Kyrie went OFF in the 4th. Skip came on the show talking about how LeBron's input was fairly meaningless because he didn't score much in the 4th, that Kyrie is the closer and had to carry the team because LeBron couldn't. As he does whenever a teammate does well. The very next game, the opposite happened - Kyrie scored more than Bron in 3 quarters, and Bron went for 14/16 in the 4th while Kyrie was quiet. Did Skip come on the show and echo his comments from the VERY PREVIOUS GAME? Of course not. He said that Kyrie carried the team until the 4th, gave them momentum and made it easy for LeBron to take over in the last quarter, while saying that Bron was a 'non-factor' and his efforts would've been meaningless without Kyrie's work the rest of the game. Think about that. The same teams played. The same rosters. The exact two players on the same team did the mirror image of each other's games in BACK TO BACK games, and both times, Skip refused to give LeBron credit and gave all of it to Kyrie. Despite THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO happening. Skip is a bitter old man, nothing more.
