Very cool design, I guess you could also make this modular in design so you can add to it with the end-goal being this. Also if you put some spikes on the roof too that would deal with the damn birds :)

This base looks AMAZING, but the material cost if you're not building it in creative concerns me. Obviously this would be geared more towards late game, but do you think there would be anyway to make an effective early game version? Something by say, the third blood moon? The safe room needs to be the strongest possible blocks, but do you think there are areas where lesser blocks could be effectively used to reduce material cost?

If I were to do it again, I would reduce the pit to probably about 2 levels instead of 5, I think everything else was over kill. All the bricks above ground could even be wood. Then I'm thinking instead of trapping them in there, make a channel / ramp so they can try to approach you once again, instead of hitting the walls.

"Hardest zombies in game." Indeed for vanilla would like to see the bases for darkness falls 🤩 now those are some great zombies. If you do give that mod a try you may need a base with redundancies or strong foundations and walls. Tell me about what makes darkness falls zombies harder. I'd like to know about this.

@@Hewhoisseth demons, the different tiers of intelligence, massive block damage, sheer possible numbers. The zombies buffing other zombies is so annoying in darkness fall. All buffs effects 10 to 15 blocks away. The nurse healing other zombies, the fatman zombie causing other zombies near him to do more damage, the football players zombie makes other zombies faster the cheerleader zombies give other zombies higher jumps, the exploding dogs. The hordes feel like the day number is at least 4 times higher. O and ramdom screamers going to show up in horde night sometimes for a horde night horde plus scream horde. Hit metal or opening and shutting metal doors attracts Screamers. Or just that the bases need to have taller and wide paths. Or they just ignore the pathing and destory the base.o let's not forget giant bee,snake, and giant spiders but at least they do not attack at horde night. Like the bears and Giant wolfs do.

Some youtubers have to let the zombies die by spikes to not have to have more exp to early. 1st horde night not bad 2nd horde night doable but you lose alot of ammo 3rd night gets stressful and you need some robot back up like a puncher or a turret the 4th one is going to be much worst can cause massive damage to even a afk base or a killing corridor. More so if the puking vultures, cops, demos and exploding dogs show up.i think bears show up as early as 2nd or 3rd but always at 4th on start with one bear then then two after that three. Let me know what you think. The loot match's the difficulty but it is hard geting good loot early to match the zombies. So I guess day 1750 horde night would feel alot worst then day 7000 horde night.

Not really, it was kind of just a fun experiment. I've thought of ways to reduce this design quite a bit and still have it be effective, I've discussed this a few times in the comments of this video.

thats a ton of resources for a survival, and tons of upkeep in ammo it wouldnt be worth it, also those demos keep exploding in there would wreck it. also you only get XP from turret kills if you INT build, its a good design but not practical i feel for end game or high game stage hordes would be soo expensive to keep repeating

I totally agree, it wasn't really suppose to be super realistic, even as I was building I was thinking I would never do this, it's more of just fun to see what happens sometimes with that much going on. A lot of lag apparently haha. Anyways I totally get what you mean and you are 100% right, I think after this I figured out how I could get it to be just as effective with probably 10% of what I used.

@@Hewhoisseth yeah, i think the fences are a great addition as they only slow them, but maybe reduce the pit, and let them climb back up for another round, shoot them on the path to the door from above the player might be better

@@IsThatDrak Totally that's exactly what i was thinking. Like a ramp so they can get back up around, and maybe just one level of turrets and fences, with fences and blade traps going up the ramp
