UnEarthed - 1st DH practice session from 2005 WILLINGEN WORLD CUP DH

Go inside the Earthed 3 section from Willingen Germany. this raw footage shows the first DH practice session unfolding as I saw it. There was controversy all round at this new venue, the track had not bedded in, it was very flat in places and was a complete new style of track with Bikepark type features, and man made rock sections. there were plenty of riders sad about all the peddling and untested track, but loads just got on with it and made the best of it. much more to come as I work through the raw clips over the coming weeks and months, subscribe to keep in the loop and maybe follow @alexrankin on instagram for all the drops.

No. Calgary. Although this track was pretty bad, I think I went back the year after for a Wheels of Speed festival and when it bedded in it was alright

Its not even the 26" wheels that make this lok dated, its those tiny frames and narrow bars coupled with very baggy riders. Looks like BMX.
