Thanks for sharing. I was in Rome last October and we took a tour of Ostia Antica, and it was so beautiful. One definitely needs a tour guide to understand what you're looking at. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. We also stopped at the cafe for a quick bite and the food was pretty good. I used your site extensively when we visited Rome and I can't thank you enough for all the info and recommendations. I tell anyone that is going to Rome about your site. Well, I hope to visit beautiful Roma again one day.

Elyssa this was perfect 💛 So informative and beautifully shot. I’m so excited to visit Ostia Antica now - if you want to go back (with me) let me know 😉 “I’m not here to be a fashionista and neither should you be.” 😜 loveeee so true! (but you looked fabulous as always) xx

This looks wonderful! Will this be a whole day affair? I am wondering if I can squeeze this into my trip.
@Romewise5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Dexie! It does not have to be a whole-day affair. You can easily plan it for a half-day, although I would not plan other major sight-seeing on the same day. You could go first thing in the morning. The train takes about half an hour but I'd budget an hour each way, considering some walking to get to and from the ruins. Then, you can spend about 2 hours in the ruins, walking around on your own. We spent longer, because we had a guide, and even then, we broke off after the tour to explore further. But you can definitely see alot even in under 2 hours. Then you could be back in Rome around lunchtime or just after.

Hello Elyssa! I don't need to compliment you anymore since you are always doing a great job! I was wondering about the cotral company's metro of how late is this available. Since i would need to travel to Antica in the evening and not be able to do so in the morning like the most of others. I checked the timetable which says indicates no problem at six seven but just to double check it with you

Thanks for your kind comments. Glad you enjoy my videos! I would suggest you check both Cotral and also the rome2rio app or website. With rome2rio, you can check all your transportation options from point A to point B.

I am asking because you have been very helpful and shown a great hospitality through tips for me as a first visitor. Second I have checked wheter or not the page romewise offers recommendation in other places full of culture and history in other country like greece for example athens but i could not find. Do you plan on expanding your work in the near feauture?

@@alexandery8508 Thanks for reporting back on your trip to Rome! For me, Rome is an endless discovery and there is always more to see here. But you are right, there are a lot of amazing places to visit such as Athens. Right now we have content covering mostly Rome and Florence, but not other cities as you are suggesting. I think you will enjoy anywhere you go, because each place has something to offer. It's a matter of you deciding what you want to see and do most! Best wishes and safe travels!

Can you taken a train from termini? I’m staying in monti 5 blocks from the train station.
@Romewise5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Jason, you can take the metro from Termini to the Piramide stop, and from there change to the train going to Ostia. It's the same 1.50€ ticket. There is no need to purchase a separate ticket for the train leaving Piramide. If you are asking if there is a train that goes directly from Termini - Ostia, then no, there itsn't. But changing at Piramide is very easy. Hope that helps!

RomeWise oh it does help. Your videos are going to make my trip so very easy. I am getting so very very excited. Even more than when I was a child on Xmas eve. Lol. I didn’t go any where besides America and it is such a huge dream for me.
