Unexpected Adventure on the Roads of Uganda

This was supposed to be a very long and boring road trip back from the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest of Uganda and Kampala... But let's say that our incredible guide went above and beyond by deciding to take an even longer route that ended up being EPIC!

We started the day by driving on the edge of the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park which ended up being a full on safari. Within minutes, we started to see everything from elephants to hippos, African buffalos, antelopes, birds and more. I've seen less on actually game drives before so this was a win.
Just before leaving the region where the National park is located, we did a stop at a fisherman's village to learn a little bit more about how they live. This was extremely interesting to say the least.
Lunchtime could only mean one thing, Rolex. Not the watch but the popular Ugandan street food. If you eat one thing in Uganda, make sure it's a rolex. Onion, tomato, pepper and egg rolled up in a tasty chapati. A pure street food delight.
And because we never have enough of Ugandan street food, we made a second stop but this time from some BBQ.

Fantastic Uganda video series, Dave and Trace! You guys stayed at the same Sanctuary Gorilla camp our travel group stayed at a few years ago. I wish everyone could go on at least one gorilla trekking so they could see how peaceful are these animals and how worthy they are of not going extinct but thriving. So many baboons, nature's a*****e. I've loved the Ugandan series. So far my top 3 African series 1 Cameroon (I'd never thought of touring Cameroon, like ever, it wasn't on my radar at all so I appreciated it) 2 Uganda 3 South Africa followed very closely by Sudan.
