Nice fish on the bait. Do you have videos of the bigger fish on jigs you mentioned you caught?
@SeaSpankerOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Why yes I do. Off the top of my head I caught my new PB at Pyramid on a 3” minnow fished on a 1/8 ballhead jig and at GVL I got a nice toad on a 2” minnow on a 1/32 ballhead. Here are the links kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKaqmY2am6pjf7c kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4PSgqVvbbmoh7c.

I love using powerbait but sometimes freshly stock fish won’t react to it when it just sits still the fish ignore it! They chase spoons or jigs. I find that powerbait works better late season for trout
@al1venchristjesus6842 жыл бұрын
@Ethan Yang there isn’t enough time for the trout to become smart enough the warm water is making them lose there brain cells as the water turns up to 70 degrees lol😂

Interesting. In those instances you may want to try a very slow retrieve of your carolina rig. Ive found that when the trout aren’t biting anything that a little movement may provoke a bite. You can also dropshot powerbait. Very effective 🤘

Awesome video man! Gives me the urge to get back out there and start trout fishing again... Used to go to SARL all the time but the crowds keep me from going so maybe I'll try Hemet... Interesting you let the mice tail just sit out there... I thought that was something you had to cast and retrieve... I'll have to try that... Learning so much from your videos! Keep it up!!

Micetails work great just make sure you have the floating ones if your gonna leave it out there. If it doesn’t float they rarely pick it up

Dang didn't realize you guys had luck right there. Went out on the boat and caught 2. Biggest was a 2.7 trolling. Nice meeting you out there.

I had my PB 14lb Rainbow caught on a Power worm and power egg combo with my secret sauce and it did the same thing he knew he was caught and went directly into the weeds I fought it for 15minutes and I he was not coming out until after I gave my friend my rod and he pulled it around a tree off the bank I was able to pull his big ass out the weeds he actually had weeds still on him too and the rest is history lol the funny thing is we were watching my other buddy fight a possible double digit trout caught on a rooster tail that I gave him for 10 minutes and when I went to net the fish he made a run and my friend had his drag way to tight after I told him to adjust his drag and it broke him off smh so I walked back to my spot and seen my bobber in the water and my friend was closer to my pole I told him to grab my pole out and he said a it’s snagged so I grabbed it and. Reeled in a few cranks it spooked the fish and that’s when it knew it was hooked I think the whole time that trout never knew it was hooked prior to when I seen my bobber in the water because we were watching my friend fight that one fish he lost for over 10min so it could have been on for Atleast 10-15min plus without knowing it was hooked lol when I got him cleaned he had my Carolina rig in its stomach aswell as another fisherman’s rig that had a red owner hook so that big pig broke another person off before ouch!!! it was the biggest trout caught at that lake that year in 2012. My PBs are 10.0 on the dot on a rapala trolling and that 14.3 pig in Powerworms and eggs that year I caught the most trouts in my life a bunch in the 7-8lbs range all on the troll and bait. I need to get out it’s been a while since I been out! Great video bro

Super nice day at Lake Hemet Rob and way to go on catching the 8 pounder on the automatic rod setter!👍Did you fish near the little peninsula shoreline to the right away from the parked boats?

Yup that was the spot. They were hitting on both sides of the point
