Hi Kayleigh - Mrs Lowe from NBHS here - lovely to see you enjoying the canals - we are meeting up with Matt on the Llangollen canal next week to do the aqueduct I can't spell let alone pronounce - hope we pass you sometime on our travels on Nb Harebell. Best wishes, Jane

Hi Jane that’s mental! Thank you for commenting. We are also headed towards the Llangollen canal September/ October time. Would be great to see you 😊 do you own a narrowboat? I’ll watch out for you 😊

Don't you get lonely living on your boat, and would you ever go back to living in a flat, or house, you have that chap with his blog, cruising the cut, he lives on his own and always looks happy, it must be the life to live!

Good to see you back again Kayleigh, hope you had a good break with your parents. Sitting in the bow like you were away from everything, with the sides of the canal growing wild you really could drift off to wherever you wanted to be for a while. Sadly like all good thing's it comes to an end when civilisation suddenly intrudes, as the traffic noise soon proved. On a totally different subject, the locks you went through looked rather narrow with little room to spare. Are narrow locks like this the "norm" on many canals ? Do you know the width of No 3 lock and what is the width of your boat please ? After seeing the beautiful scenery you regularly pass through I have to admit that I really can't wait to get everything sorted and get out there cruising too !
@LiveaboardLifestyle3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Peter 😊 yes on a lot of the locks are very narrow. Unless your on a wide canal that’s a whole new experience going through double locks. Hope your well!

Lovely cruise. May I ask a couple of questions? Can you recommend your coffee machine. It looks like it froths the milk properly instead of just big bubbles! What make is it? Also how do you manage with your bike on the back. Is it easy enough to get off when you want to use it? We were thinking about folding bikes but I don’t really like them and they’re very overpriced! Hope you enjoyed your break.

Hi Valerie, thank you and off course. Yes I would highly recommend it’s a Sage Barista Express. Yes I find it very easy to get on and off it’s a great setup. 😊

Do you know of any Americans that do this full time, ones not married to a UK citizen. Would love to do this in about a year or so. But would not want to buy a boat and have to leave the country every 3 months just to reenter again.
@LiveaboardLifestyle3 жыл бұрын
I don’t sorry. Perhaps you could take out a long lease? I do know Australians who own a boat and visit a few times per year. They prefer that to hiring as when they arrive they have all they need not sure if that helps?
@Daydreameruk3 жыл бұрын
I’m really enjoying your vlogs, only found you last week. So the roads, the trains etc. Are they annoying breaking up your tranquil idyl or are they sometimes a bit of a comfort that their noise signifies life beyond the towpath? Always wondered this.
