this artist knows how the characters act, honestly Zarla and this artist know how the characters should act while integrating stuff from the fandom. Here Papyrus is shown as an adult like authority rather than a gullible kid who doesn't know left from right, and sans shows his authority when needed. He's not depressed, he's not actively visioning the genocide routes every 5 seconds of the day, and his smile like the game is permanent it can't turn into a frown or mimic every emotion like his eyes. Yes Gaster is brought up but when he is sans doesn't mental break down

@@thomasharrington1477 heheh, the source material is what we all fell in love with at the start, right? i find there's still plenty of ideas to play with without getting too far into AUs, so i'm happy to stick with canon--and i'm glad other folks appreciate it ^^ As for sans' smile... well, i think i draw it centered, but the key may be to keep the spacing of his teeth fairly even so the front two aren't too big. His sprite's smile is quirked up on one side though, so to be truly sprite-accurate you'd have to make it slightly asymmetrical. That's my thoughts on it anyway ^^
