FYI: I've had issues with those black ring capsules toning the perimeter of my coins. I'm not sure if there's something in the foam rings that is seeping onto the coins, or if the foam rings are attracting moisture or sulfur into the capsules.

I think it may depend on the supplier. These are air tites. So I trust them, haven't had any problems in the last few years but will keep an eye out! Thanks!

I like the simplicity of the maple, and 25 in a tube is the way to go.

some people , when they wear or handle silver , it tarnishes , but for others it doesnt so it depends on the person mostly , silver dosent tarnish by itself , i my self wear silver and it never tarnishes after i wore it or handled it , not even after a long time science i last wore that silver

I just started buying silver and I'm pretty upset at how delicate it is. I really hope I am able to keep my stack nice. I wish this metal weren't so damn fickle, I don't wanna keep it all behind plastic or have to wear gloves just to enjoy it. This sucks
@anecdotalecon27 күн бұрын
You don't have too! I have lots that I handle regularly. You can also clean the tarnish off if you want. Just not recommended for high value collectables. Or you can buy gold instead...

Silver round in therapy, "where did he touch you?" 😂 But seriously, my OCD I'm anal with all my silver. Never touch any of it with bare hands. All in caps and plastic. Poured silver bars only thing I touch with bare hands but I'll wash my hands really good with dawn to get the grease and oil off. I see videos with bare handling and I cringe 😂😂. I like maples but the one side ruins it for me plus I gotta love Murica! So ASE is my favorite and I love old US coinage walking liberty half being my favorite. Just subscribed. 🇺🇸

Tarnish. I can't tell. Those two Sonic coins look exactly the same. I thought it might have been the coin on the left but that could just be the lights. You also got to take dust and hair into account if you leave coins bare on display for a week. You won't believe how much dust and hairs I shed, the dog also.

With silver its a crapshoot I found a US silver eagle in a paper sleeve inside an old piggy bank that wasn't airtight and the coin has no varnish on it at all/

Maples are not a good choice for the experiment, as they are coated or protected with a proprietary Canadian method.

Aee they coated?! I did not know that!

The horribly tarnished coin that you clumsily ruined was on the right when the video started but then you moved it to the left when you made the switch. That poor Hedgehog is so tarnished it’s hideous looking now!

Lol. Appreciate your honesty!

@@anecdotalecon That wasn’t honesty. That was sarcasm! I can’t see the difference in the two pieces. The toning doesn’t really show up at all on camera, it must be very minimal. To me, they both look the same and as good as the day they were minted!

Another tip make sure your capsule is made of acrylic not plastic. Plastic can break down, the chemicals released will tarnish silver

Ive heard that. Have a few plastic gold cases but not on silver. Good tip
