Forward head posture affects the suboccipital muscles and nerves which are located under the base of the back of the skull. There are many neurological problems that are commonly misdiagnosed from doctors around the world.

I was having so much pain in my eyes and they felt so annoyed and after correcting my posture it went away. I can't believe that you actually helped me. I asked an eye doctor and he said it wasn't possible... I am truly grateful since I can finally live a normal life again. I really wish you all the best in life and thank you a million times!

Thank you so much for all this useful information! These are things that most doctors don't tell you. I have been facing a horrible eye pain in the left eye and headaches for the last few months, and no one could tell me for sure where they came from. I have suspected my neck to be the problem as it had caused other trouble in the past too, but no one knew for sure if there was a connection. Now I know that's the source and I also know the solution. The straight neck posture and head massage work wonders! Thank you very much!

OMG! I am so delighted. I have been to specialist after specialist, neurologist after neurosurgeon. You see, I had a an sah back in 2010, and have been daily having issues developed and no one ever knew why. But I'm listening to your recordings, and it sounds like I'm finally getting a little information. I even have a friend who's as excited as I am. I was forwarding this on to her. She's been going down this path with me all these years. Oh I am going to binge watch as much as I can!

Thank you! I just came back from Emergency after two doctors said I needed to get there asap. I was getting flashing in cresent shapes on the edges of my vision plus I had a floater. The doctors were afraid of retinal detachment. They did an ultrasound and everything looked normal. The optomologist at ER said it was an "Occipital Migrane" and had nothing to do with my eyes. That's all he said and left. I do struggle with forward head posture. I just spent almost an hour stretching these suboccipital muscles- first time in my life. Wow, so tight and tender.

Thank you. According to the positive restoration institute…it’s the vision (along with teeth and feet) which affect the posture. The brain controls the muscles according to what it senses is happening in the environment. Neal Hallinan (KZbin him) says that correcting your vision and visual inputs into the brain will allow your muscles to relax and posture to correct. He learn this in a postural visual integration course.

Sir I'm suffering from ankylosing spondylitis I'm watching your videos and doing exercises daily for forward head posture, rounded shoulder and lumbar spine and I'm getting benefit. Sir can you suggest some exercise for knee, and sir you are doing really wonderful job. thank you.
@motivationaldoc8 жыл бұрын
Swimming, walking, along with regular range of motion exercises are good. Strengthening core will also be beneficial for you. Squats with your back against the wall are very helpful for the knees, building the quadriceps and glute muscles.

Hi, Dr.mandell It is the answer to the question I was looking for. Thank you. I have mild anterior head posture, mild kyphosis, rounded shoulders and anterior pelvic tilt. I make posture correction exercises. I feel occasionally dizziness feeling on my head and eye. It increase when I straighten up quickly. My vertigo tests and MRI are normal except 3 bulging discs without nerve compression. Is there specific techniques for relieving this feeling

I am having FHP and when ive used my neck muscles through working outside and i want ro read, i cant process the information. My eyes have reflexes. So i cant do my schoolwork. Im studying at a University. Do you have any particular exercise for this, or is your advice the same as for correction exercises for FHP?

Hi, I love you for this video. I asked and asked doctors about my eyes sensitive to lights. They say," go check your eye doctor ." I tell them it's start behind the eyes and toward the back of the head , but they don't know. Your the first one has answer this. I been to a nerve doctor and they did not know. lol Now , can you tell me this. Does bugle disc in neck effect hearing. I very sensitive to low and high frequencies. My doctors said it's from having long time untreated low back disc and neck disc. Is this true. Doctors want to inject me with shots , but I am intolerance to shots. Also can a bugle disc in the neck cause fluid on the brain? Again doctors don't know. Thank you so much. Your a hero.

Doc, BLESS YOU! THANK YOU! No one seems to know this but you! I have distorted vision and neck problems. I've seen a chiropractor, an optometrist, two ophthalmologists, and a medical doctor to get help. Each visit, I've mentioned my neck pain and the results of an x ray that revealed my neck was too straight from years of poor posture, finally exacerbated this year due to extreme computer work. (I'm a professor, and this summer I was working lots of overtime teaching online classes, reading in bed, and using a phone during my breaks from the computer-- all with the wrong posture. NECK DISASTER!) None of these medical professionals, not even my chiropractor, has connected my vision distortion to the pain in my neck and text-neck, though I believed, intuitively, there had to be a connection since the symptoms manifested around the same time and worsened together. I've been watching your videos, applying what I learn, and I believe I'm seeing improvement in my vision as my habits change and my posture improves. I am going to keep my appointment with the neurologist to rule out any harm from venous occlusion, lesions or such, but in the meantime, I'll be using your methods and learning more from your videos to improve my posture. It can only help to have good posture and good habits. THANK YOU, Dr. Mandell, for sharing your insights. They are helping people! I might even get to educate a few health professionals, with all credit to you. :) Hopefully, they can also learn what you already know so that your help becomes exponential. All blessings, Dr. Mandell! I have hope now.

Hi, thank you for your comments. You are correct what you have been expressing. Although with this chronic nature of contraction going on in the upper cervical region there is a direct relationship with the atlas and vision. I would still locate another chiropractor if you're not happy with yours and have him focus in correcting subluxation up in the atlas. I have seen many miracles over the years pertaining to those symptoms.

I am having some of these symptoms and doctors can’t figure it out. My neck is really tight and I have a bump on the back of my neck because of poor posture. My vision is so bad I can’t really explain it but things seem larger, and the only thing I can think of is my anxiety and forward head posture.
