Unexpected Turns & Plant Chores I've Been Avoiding

Hi everyone, hope you’re well! What plant struggles or unexpected surprises have you come across lately?

My Pteris quadriaurita is giving the most issues this winter, all other ferns doing great or just fine but this plant is just crisping. Trying to keep it alive until the weather changes, I guess and watching it more closely with watering. Pteris parkeri alboneata is just doing fine but stopped growing while other ferns didn't stop growing, but glad it's not struggling like the other Pteris haha And I discovered a new problem with my orchids 🤣 they are always full of surprises, salt build up on soil is the white stuff on bark and if a root touches it it will die off 🙃 So next thing to solve is this problem 😛

Hey Danny! Oh yes, the pteris ferns hahaha Mine are holding on okay so far. But the pteris 'evergemiensis' just now decided it wanted to wither 🥲 That's an interesting point about the orchid, I'll keep that in mind.
