From what I've heard, if you track an E46 M54 you should look at the engine. There's something wrong with the Oil pickup if you track it regularly. Chris Fixit engine blew up because of that

Love your content! I know you hear it all the time, but it's obligatory. If you don't mind, I'd suggest your first change should be camber plates! Soft springs and sway bars will help you feel the weight transfer, but those non-adjustable struts will kill your times (and tires), beginner or expert. I know you've done your research, but I wanted to throw in my $0.02.

10:35 Pressing the DSC button once only partially disables traction control. Hold the button for 5 seconds to fully disable it. The handbrake light should turn on together with the traction control light. I think it was still on.

He's talking about the lap that Sreten did prior to this when the traction control was left on (which can be seen on the M539 channel). For this lap, it was turned completely off.

My friend I love your channel but the first thing you do and I've been driving since 1980😊 you do the suspension sway bars as thick as you can get them up front 30 mm rear 28 minimum brakes 6 piston up front sharks adjustable track settings and then you let the test driver do it you did it ass backwards , forget comfortable you need to fill the bumps exactly it doesn't matter if you want to use track car then don't play around with it it's a safety issue as well I can't believe you did that! Glorious. A very nice round on the NLS. Sretens E46 looks amazing and now with a smooth powertrain. Maybe next year @Misha could take my fun toy 328ti Compact with my own calibrated 2.8l for a spin. But I need to upgrade the front brakes with BMW compound rotors and Ferodo DS performance first. And course steel flex brake lines. Otherwise that would not be so smart to go on the track.

I really think Misha is building himself in one of the top legend drivers! Limited slip diferential, mcperson upper mounts from m3 e36, acentric front wishbone bushings. You will fall in love with how the e46 drives after these modifications. if you are installing coilovers that only increase camber, consider turning them to increase the caster angle of the kingpin (caster)?

These generation BMWs are so tastefully designed inside and out, especially now that BMW's currently in their "how do you do, fellow kids?" phase. And when it comes to driving on track, good condition OEM parts will almost always be more reliable than an aftermarket hodgepodge, which I know now from my own experience modifying cars. Sreten setup this car well for learning how to drive fast, especially because soft suspension really helps feel weight transferring as each wheel is loaded and unloaded. If I could afford it, I'd love to restore an older BMW to his level of care.

The E46 is a fun platform, the only thing that drove me nuts about my old one was the throttle lag cause it's early electronic stuff, I ended up going back to an E36 myself but I still love a good E46 👌
