By the time Essendon are possibly challenging, they can pay more for other players while having a cheap seasoned,big bodied backman. Essendon lost nothing by acquiring McKay.

How people are blaming Brad is beyond me. Three different coaches, the same prima donna players, same result. But, I honestly believe now Dodoro has completely gone, watch this turn around quite quickly, ie Rosa won't pick pampered players from expensive colleges, he'll get players that have a high footy iq, that WANT to play footy for Essendon. It's easily, and has been one of the most unbalanced sides in the last 20 years. Holes everywhere, pampered players that only play when things are just so.

Wanganeen, Davey, Davey, need to go asap. None show any potential at all at senior level, waste of time because they were related to former Bombers. McKay doesn’t care enough, no desperation or fight, or just is a little slow up stairs, Laverde undersized for the role he always gets, Menzie can’t kick so it’s useless having a small forward that can’t create or capitalise on half chances, Caldwell playing like Sam Walsh, works hard and competes and finds it back skills man… the skills. Hurts to watch. Coaches need to work out what to do with Perkins, has ability but is a bit lost being thrown around, seems more dangerous as a permanent forward or get his running up to be a winger, strong core, good hands, penetrating kick. Trade Tsatas or Hobbs if we have no plans to use them, Tsatas to dominating as an inside mid and didn’t even get a game with Parish injured for weeks.

Goldstein can stay but never plays if Bryan and Draper are available, pay him a little to stick around an guide those two or be a backup. Roberts and Caddy stay in every game they’re available, give them experience and confidence. Hunter and Heppell gone too already, try target a high level forward, ship out 2m Peter if he’s not it. He isn’t competitive enough.

We made a huge bungle with McKay in our defence let's get the link between the midfield and forward right and please let's go after footballers with elit football skills and footy IQ instead of athletes.

​​@@richardbehan8118Add Perkins to that list. He has shown no real growth whatsoever in 4 seasons at the club despite the most fit and largely free out of the 3 first rounders we picked. He hasn't any real quality whatsoever since his outstanding Round 1 performance against the Hawks. Also add Peter Wright who has basically more or less reverted back to what he largely was at Gold Coast ever since Langford took his spot as the number 1 option in the forward line.

Listening to malthouee on the radio .. he was saying our backline is way too slow and our fowards are way too slow . He singled out gresham . Stringer for not working hard enough and our ball movement lacks dare .. when we actually move the balk quickly we can look good .. this is not a quick fix .. l thibk we can be a good team but the clubs culture sucks
