Had used the AirPods Pro 1 gen , AirPods gen 2 and EarPods and now using AirPods Pro gen 2 . I would say the EarPods for normal usage and AirPods Pro gen 2 for everyday gym use , outdoor is the best .

Use AirPods Pro 2nd gen for gym, running and some daily use. Have a pair of EarPods too. Modified. Carefully modded a couple of good fitting AirPods Pro silicone tips to fit on the EarPods and glued them on. Some added passive noice cancellation, better fit (will stay in ear) and due to better seal in the ear canal a better base and generally better audio. And remember - the EarPods support Hires audio…

My person experience I prefer the EarPods for daily use and they never need to recharge. The Pros are great as well. I did like the Airpods 2nd Gen but they don't last. As for the Pros and Pros(2nd Gen), it's great but the suction after a while gets annoying. I suggest getting ear tips memory-foam. They feel better and stay on.

I don’t like air pods in my ears but that with the free ones that were packaged in the box with the iPhone. I just ordered a pair of Beats Solos to use exclusively with my Apple TV 4 K. I’ll use them to not disturb anyone late at night listening to a movie or music. I hope I will like them. Apple gives you two weeks to try them out. I play competitive games on my iPad Pro. I’m using the Apple dongle and a wired headphone but it causes problems and sometimes I can’t tell where the enemies are. Should I get a type C earphone or the AirPods Pro 2?

There’s always a little delay in wireless ones, so I can’t use it for editing for example. Not sure how that is with gaming but I can imagine zero delay would be preferred. So wired!

I didn't really cross-shop the Pro's with any of these, since I wanted noise cancellation. In my use, they're just as much hearing protectors as they are earbuds. Being able to get foam tips has let me work near jets without having to worry about hearing damage, though they only offer about 30 db of reduction

@@TJ_Cow You won't get all the included features that you would with an Apple device. For example, the battery indicator for the AirPods won't display on your phone, and Siri won't be available to answer any of your requests. However, you can download the MaterialPods app to display battery life on your Android device and launch the Google Assistant after double-tapping an earbud. Adjusting noise cancellation is also done on the airpods itself now, so it’s a little more gimmicky

They're expected to cost around $300 and come with a redesigned fit, better sound quality, active noise cancellation, and a new USB-C charging case. If you need earbuds sooner, the second-generation AirPods at $250 are still a reliable choice but that's just my overall opinion.

This is what I tell everyone. Get a refurbished set of AirPods Pro 1st gen. They may be slightly older but the noise cancelling is still top notch and the sound is still unreal. And you can even find them for less than $100 in some places too.
