Available in titanium? If not, it should be. Titanium is durable, but also slightly softer than steel and aluminium and would absorb even more force. In theory, I think. (Titanium's softness also probably explains why 15 pro backglass shatter more easily than 14 pro

While I do find the “fun” drop tests where people drop a phone off a roof just that -fun-, I thoroughly appreciate that you conducted your tests under all too believable circumstances.

I appreciate your comment! Honestly, after no iPhones were smashed, I was kind of “disappointed” because KZbin is all about the views, so for something like that to happen, it would be more “interesting” to watch. But I am glad I was able to show the results of a real test. Thank you for watching

You should always drop them higher than what people will normally drop them. Many phone cases are certified to 10-13ft. I think 10ft would be ideal. More than 95% of cases will survive 3-4ft drops.
@the_average_canadian2 ай бұрын
In reality, these cases are designed for the average. In my experience, the average phone drop is from waist height onto a hard, flat surface, landing flat or on a corner. That happens to me probably 2-3 times per year. If a case can survive that without damaging the phone itself, I'm happy to replace the case a couple times.
@ReclaimerTyphoonАй бұрын
Arc got lucky. There are plenty of angles/instances in which the sides would get hit. It's not the same for other cases, because most of the other cases have bumpers that extend out past the screen, and the sides of the phone are simply not exposed at all.

I once saw a video that states that these types of heavy-duty cases put a lot of pressure on the cell phone and can cause the cell phone to damage either the screen or the internal components. Is that real? Do you recommend the use of military grade and heavy duty covers? greetings

This is great thank you so much. For your next video could you try from chest height as well as knocking off the table? And also could you do a multi drop version (so review it after 1 drop, then after a set of 3 waist high drops, for example). I'm the type of person who drops their phone at least once a day and I think it's easier for one drop to be a fluke but if it can survive 4-5 drops then you've got assurance!

I rage threw my iPhone 13 Pro into the bed. Or so I thought. I hit the concrete wall. By sheere luck I had the Mous Limitless (not sponsored, could have been any tough/impact case) on and not my thin Pitaka Air, so "only" the glass cracked and not the OLED panel underneath :O The backglass was already broken. Guys, wear proper cases if you're prone to phone tossing. Sidenote: That specific ESR case for iPhone 13 has an insanely strong magsafe magnet. I can confirm that

@WhuuuuuuuhhhhappnАй бұрын
Show the whole footage from the drop, fall and the impact. From the angles that you are showing, it can feel like there is something below to catch the impact, and then another angle to hide the height from where the object came from
@UnfilterdАй бұрын
It’s more that you can’t film high speed while following this thing drop, so the “ground angle” is where it’s dropping, and the other angle is where you see it fall from my hands. But I might include a total angle too

The screen protector adds enough thickness it’s possible without it, the screen would not have hit anything and survived. Unless you tested the drops without screen protectors, it’s inconclusive. Nice job regardless.

I'm interested in the Ringke case and the price is affordable here in Australia. I just got an iPhone 16 which was an upgrade from my antique iPhone 6+ so am now on the hunt for accessories but as I'm older and not working anymore, I have to go for cheaper options and since I've never bought a brand name case ever I'm going to also look at cheap temu products but will invest in a good screen protector. I've never been a droppy sort of phone person but with age comes instability and I've broken 2 monitors and my Alexa screen so far this year
