These are invasive where I live in SE Australia. Fish of 1-2kg are common in good environments with low fishing pressure. Even 3+kg redfin perch are caught in several lakes every year. I laugh at how these taste better than carp, another imported species that gets heaps of attention, but because redfin are the tastiest common freshwater fish in cooler areas many people who grew up catching them take years to learn they're invasive. If ever!
