Long session! I see S17, I see 3:2, I see double after split...good signs so far. Having looked it up on Vegas Advantage, you did have access to surrender and resplitting Aces, from what I can see! I'm always going to support content with the good tables and the good rules. As for the deviations: 2:15 - 12v3 is a hit. Player 3 would have busted, but would have led to a dealer bust so it was a -$100 swing for the table. 3:40 - 8v6 is a hit, not a double, and player 2 got burned for an extra $200 here. 6:24 - 16v10 is a surrender, -$50 here. 7:07 - 15v10 is a surrender, -$100 here. 7:30 - 8v6 is a hit, not a double again, but thankfully it didn't matter, +$100 here. 12:14 - A three-card 16 involving a 4 or 5 is a stand, which would have led to a table win. This was a -$1,200 swing. 14:20 - 16vA is a surrender, costing $62.50 directly and turning a push into a loss for player 2, for a -$362.50 swing. 15:48 - 44v3 is a hit, not a split. which turned a full table win at $400 into a full table loss at $700, for a -$1,100 swing. Nice double at 27 and a half minutes in, you needed that! 32:34 - 15v10 is a surrender, -$200 here. All told, the deviations ended up taking $3,012.50 away from the good side oft he table sadly.

Wow what an amazing comment!
@MewtwoStruckBack Жыл бұрын
@@joemarsh2050 Thanks - I feel strongly about good blackjack and solid play. The more quality blackjack we get with good rules being popular on KZbin, the more likely viewers of those channels are going to scoff at the idea of playing a 6:5 game, or H17. The more people we see actually USING surrender correctly, the more viewers of those channels are likely to not only expect the rule at places they play but to use it efficiently. (I mean...there are only four surrenders in a good game - 15v10, 16v9, 16v10, 16vA. Not hard to remember four things once you get used to it!) It's why I'm a bit iffy on Brandon's channel showing 6:5 H17 "Dream 21" when there's 3:2 S17 Spanish 21 out there, it's why I have slight issue with the El Cortez's 6 deck game being shown (as they don't allow surrender and are H17 on it when if you're playing 6 deck, you should be getting at minimum Pennsylvania rules, if not the even better rules that were in this video.) One thing I would absolutely LOVE for this channel to do, if doing another video in this salon or other tables with similar rules, is when they sit down at the table, as they're talking about the session before they start any hands, to say "blackjack pays 3:2 here, the dealer stands on soft 17, we can surrender and resplit up to 4 hands including Aces - and you should expect these rules too, don't play 6:5, don't play games where the dealer hits soft 17" - to use the content not only to further their own channel but to further the game of blackjack as a whole!

@@MewtwoStruckBack i watched the video bc I subscribe to lootbox and they posted it bc they are all friends and were at and around the table. I am an extremely casual blackjack player who knows the basic rules on basic strategy. Im a sports card content guy who works for a breaker as my second job and i Love it!! But reading your comment kind of blows my mind. It is very in depth and well thought out, being someone who plays blackjack maybe a couple times a year incan understand 95% of the abbreviations and initials. But i red it and had to say WOW!!!
@joemarsh2050 Жыл бұрын
Are u a black Jack Professional?
@MewtwoStruckBack Жыл бұрын
@@joemarsh2050 No, but kinda. I don’t count cards, I just know perfect basic strategy and have a bit of an idea on some of the most basic deviations. It’s more that I am pissed about how the games have gotten worse over the past decades - if you told someone back in 1980 that casinos were going to short pay blackjack, hit on soft 17, take away double and split opportunities ar some tables, let alone add a second AND THIRD ZERO to the roulette table, and people would be lining up to play those games, they’d have a fit. With the tools we have, we should not only be pushing for games to be better (and stop them from becoming worse) but to do everything we can to win as much or lose as little as we possibly can.
