WOW! Super cute card and thanks for the tutorial! What a huge cost savings not having to buy those foam sheets. The ones from Paper Trey Ink don't hold their stick for a long time, neither does the 3M foam tape. This definitely seems like the best way to go for making shaker cards. Thanks so much!

Craftin Caly that does sound like a great solution. Let me know if you end up having to attach it it if just seeing it on the foam works for you. I would think attaching it would work better but until you try it who knows right! lol. Again thanks for sharing :-)

I know this is an older video but wonderful !! I'm knew and learning everyday. Just a newbie still so I have lots of questions. I just bought a Big Shot a few days ago and I'm wondering on the balloon die cut.... did you use to sizes of the balloon to have the dimensional look? Also I am still teaching myself sizes of cards and such for me to cut on a trimmer. What are the measurements to the cardstock pieces and what is the measurement for scoring. I know these are terrible questions and show how much I have to learn. Oh your coloring. I have a long way to go before I attempt that. You are so good. You make it look so easy. Not necessarily asking for a brand name but what type of marker is safe for cards and scrapping? As far as glue you used can I use Scotch Quick Drying tacky glue? I don't believe that's what I was trying to buy. I was trying to buy what said adhesive glue not tacky glue but that's what came up on my search on Amazon. I guess I'm asking will my glue ripple the cardstock? This card is just wonderful. You did it so fast. Even if I knew what I was doing it would take me more like an hour lol. I know this is A LOT of questions. So sorry but I'm so impressed with you !!

Hello 😁 Just wanted to update you and let you know that in addition to my Big Shot and A LOT of $$ on other things I don't know what to do with LOL I bought the FUSE and for about 6 dollars as an add on item thru Amazon the decorative tips to use with it. The FUSE was much more affordable than I thought it was going to be. I have a couple more questions... Im learning card making, I've worked on scrapbooks off and on for as long as I can remember, journals BUT I am drawn to shaker cards like a moth to a flame! My 1st question is I see WRMK sell their own plastic coated paper to fuse with. My question is... If I were to want to seal my (plastic) containing my shaker contents to regular card stock and not their paper would that possibly work since we're melting plastic here lol. I guess even if it worked it wouldn't be a very strong hold. 2nd and most important question to me is this... What sizes of sequins and beads & such are best for shakers? I've found a place to get what I want very cheap but I want to make sure they aren't going g to be too big and tacky. 3 and 4mm sequins and 2mm beads just as an example? Thank you!!
@caly.person7 жыл бұрын
Tricia Sutton hey Tricia! Fusing plastic to paper would not work or hold. You would want to glue it. I like the Ranger multi medium matte adhesive. Fusing works best melding two plastics together. As far as Sequins go-the most common size is 6mm. But variety of size is nice. I also have 4mm and some 8mm. Nothing larger.
@triciasutton73227 жыл бұрын
Yeah, once I typed that question about the plastic and cardstock I pretty much answered my question but just kept on trucking on that comment lol.

@caly.person7 жыл бұрын
Bertie Sulik hi Bertie! Are you referring to the sequins? They are Pretty Pink Posh brand. You can buy directly from Pretty Posh or you can buy from one of the following online stores: Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson, and My Favorite Things. Those are the only places I know that stock them. If you have any other questions, let me know!
@BertieSulik7 жыл бұрын
Craftin Caly no wat u put the sequins in.
@caly.person7 жыл бұрын
Bertie Sulik my apologies for not understanding the original question! Stamp and die pouches. You just cut them to the size you need. Because they’re a thin, flexible plastic, they fuse well together and hold the sequins nicely with some give. Acetate would be too stiff to use with a fuse tool to hold sequins. Have fun!
@BertieSulik7 жыл бұрын
Craftin Caly it's ok. Tnx but so stampers use the raised 1s where u don't need the asitote.
@caly.person7 жыл бұрын
Bertie Sulik you can certainly achieve the raised look with foam tape on the entire top panel-or My Favorite Things sells raised window shaker frames in several shapes.
@shadyamohamed57449 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I may be missing it but did you list the adhesive you used for gluing the sequence balloon to the top layer? I tried to search for it with no luck, could you pls tell me what it's called and where you got it? Mahalo :)
@caly.person9 жыл бұрын
Hi Shadya-I used Multi Medium Matte Glue by Ranger. If you have Tombow Liquid adhesive, that will work too but make sure you clean any excess off the clear window portion so it doesn't dry tacky. MMM glue dries matte and is not tacky.

Hi Carol, I'm using a We Are Memory Keepers glass cutting board in the video. You'll want to use a few layers of cardstock to cut on if you don't have a glass surface to work on to prevent damage to any of your working surfaces because of the heat. Sorry it damaged your craft mat!

Craftin Caly Like with most crafting supplies, they come out for a few years, then they sort of disappear. This is a small hand held pink tool with a flat head, runs on 3 AA batteries and heats to melt the glue on those metallic small round dots, or the half pearls.
