Let's give Harold his props , he jammed with Hendrix when Hendrix was travelling up and down the east coast experimenting the universe, hot buttered soul sessions, and joined funkadelic during the contract(tiki/Billy) disputes, drugs, overdoses(tawl/Eddie) instruction of bootsie & catfish cowrote loosebooty& America eats it's young yes he's a funkadelic! And played alongside Eddie he sound like he was use to doing the solo

I'm tired of all these Maggot Brain imitators there's only one original Maggot Brain and that's Eddie Hazel and the only other one that can maybe not even close to it is Michael Hampton

Henry G. Thompson Unfortunately when Eddie got locked up, it kind of open the door for this?? Harold Beam is the Funkadelic guitarist that many have forgotten about, and perhaps played a couple of times in Eddie's absence?? Beam maybe on the tract Broken Heart?? Beam also played for Issac Hayes according to KZbin? ?

Dude, show some respect. Harold was is an OG Funkadelic. Harold replaced Tal Ross when he left the group, locking down that funky rhythm. He took over lead guitar duties during the Bootsy/Catfish era of Funkadelic. Eddie left the group during that time. Also, I believe, it was Harold laying down that psychedelic guitar on Issac Hayes' Walk on By. Harold was a contemporary on Eddie Hazel, not an imitator.

@@BrothaVoodoo it is credited on the title track, America Eats its young, that it was Harold. I often wonder if it is harold on rhythm and garry on lead, but it might be all Harold on lead and rhythm. Such a beautiful track

Also, Harold's first stint with funkadelic was in 1971, right after Tawl left, and his rhythm and backup lead is all over the 1971 meadowbrook live recording. So yes, Harold is not an imitator, he is a og funkadelic
