I really love this entry. The string is so captivating and rehearsed,every single shot is done amazingly, the vocals are amazing, they are so confident and pack the right punch the song needs, I love the deep bassy production, the lyrics aren’t special but they do the job, the song itself is really slick, it is futuristic yet modern and nostalgic (sounds like something that could be n the charts ten years ago in a good way), the lighting is amazing, the screen work is amazing, the drop is fantastic and so infectious, the choreography is perfectly done and the song is great in the studio cut but it comes alive more on stage. This could do amazingly with the juries since it is such a well-made pop banger that juries are into and the televote will have this in the middle of the ranks sadly because of the hosts curse and the entry not being unique enough for the year (but then again that could be positive). It will probably fall between 15-10 in the ranks which is very good for a host entry but not top 5. I think this was their best option objectively to get a good result and although it was not my winner of the selection it is super close for me. I love it, it is a 9/10 for me.

Why? You would NEVER be able to pull this off. This song had ALL Swedish songwriters, Swedish staging, Swedish production, Swedish choreography etc etc etc. Norway could never. There’s a reason they are competing in Melodifestivalen and not in MGP.

@@LGBarealltheletters oh shush they are still Norwegian. And Swedish song writers aren’t as good as you claim them to be, they write safe pop hits every Year. It’s been the same pattern for more than 10 Years now

@@astridandersen3395You be proud but don’t say Swedish songwriters aren’t that good. Swedish producers and songwriters, such as Max Martin, behind international stars. In fact, about a third of the records in the American Billboard 100 bestsellers have Swedish fingerprints on them. Sweden is the world’s third biggest net exporter of music.
@astridandersen33956 ай бұрын
@@theak69banana19 it’s not like they are the best. Swedish produsers plays it safe by making main stream pop. When that’s not popular in esc anymore then Sweden is going to end up with last Place. There’s hardly any authenticity to find.

Its so much Sweden coded that it feels like a nothing-burger to me... like there's no soul at all. Its not a bad song, but it really just feels like they asked an AI to produce the perfect popsong and this is what they got. Sweden had so many good options (in a weak Melfest). We could have had Medina... Swedish back in Eurovision 😥

I tend to see it as a 4 pronged thing. One part song, one part artist, one part choreography and one part staging. You get a really good score in ESC only if you have quality in all 4 of them.
@florenna6 ай бұрын
TBH, I don't see anything great in this, it's all just graphics & staging, and if you take that away, there's nothing left, just air... But as we all know, Sweden is always hugely overrated in Eurovision these days, especially by juries - as we saw very painfully last May - I expect this will do ok. Deserves it or not. It's just all so unfair, as very obviously Finland should be the one hosting Eurovision this year, not Sweden. That really says it all.
