Somente restou saudades de ver a grande maioria desses jogadores. El Nino Torres tão jovem e sendo um monstro mesmo nessa época, aonde ja era um ídolo do Atleti. A seleção espanhola teria sua marca anos depois, quando saiu Raúl e alguns outros jogadores do setor defensivo que convenhamos eram limitados ao extremo. Claro que tivemos Xavi / Iniesta / Puyol / Capdevilla / Ramos e entre outros em seu pleno auge técnico e tático. 2008/12... simplesmente brilhante, obrigado senhor Aragonés, definiu uma identidade para a seleção e a deixou marcada.

I always root for Italy but that year, I felt bad for France as they played the best tournament. Italy played the best game against the host - Germany - in the semis but France were the best looking and performing team overall. But well - Italy was unlucky in Rotterdam in 2000 when Toldo played the tournament of his life, Totti and Inzaghi were magnificent and they lost after extra time resulting from a last minute goal. So they took their revenge.
